it has been quoted how much tescos would have to refund if all the xbox over - price were to be re paid etc.....which sounded like a hell of a lot of money...
but.... just a thought......
just imagine how much the meat mis-price r & r cost them
as my freezer ( ok it is only a small fridge type one ) was full of meat.. in the end not to waste it i was giving it to relatives etc......just have a look at the amount of money that mse'rs have had in meat... so surely... over all its the meat mis-price that's the dripping financial tap for tescos.. ok.. the xbox.. is a big blip... but overall.. i think they loose out a hell of a lot more.. with the meat.....
plus slightly off r & r... what about the huge amount of money that they must have lost over the health and beauty voucher loophole...do i care... no... do i sleep soundly at night yes...... would i knowingly.. do r & r's yes....and do i think that tescos should be capped /stopped kept under control... at the rate that they are expanding...YES.......thats my personal view...so dont jump down my throat about it pleaseWork to live= not live to work0 -
re.. dan.. so if security are employed by tescos... and if i was ever threatened or man-handled ( or woman-handled)
is it tescos i take to court or the security guard ?
as i know when it comes to machanics.. if for an example... you take yuor car into a main dealer to have your brakes done... and they failed causing a fatal injury.. its the machanic that's up in court not the garage.... how i know this hubby being a machanic...in main ford maim dealersWork to live= not live to work0 -
Since the security officer is employed by Tesco they will be liable. I doubt any of them would be stupid enough to touch anyone without reasonable grounds though.0

***** looking at it from another point of view how much money must tesco have made from unsuspecting customers who have bought items in faith at the correct price only to be overcharged ,
The percentage of R&R's is small compared to the amount of customers through tescos doors, added to the fact how many people not on this site know about the r& r policy . and i would also assume that the r&r'd items would then be put through as loss for tax reasons so taking away what they buy the itme for then the mark up would be small , in most cases0 -
dan it sounds as though you are a security guard in tescos....
but
have you seen security guards in other tescos....Work to live= not live to work0 -

COOLTRIKERCHICK.... Look up..... Vicarious Liability
An employer is vicariously liable for negligent acts or omissions by his employee in the course of employment whether or not such act or omission was specifically authorised by the employer.
To avoid vicarious liability, an employer must demonstrate either that the employee was not negligent in that the employee was reasonably careful or that the employee was acting in his own right rather than on the employer's business
I suppose the first query would be is your hubby mechanic an employee... or self employed on contract, like some nowadays ?
Hope this helps

fai comment cheepskate....i can totally see what you are saying...as i have mentioned in a previous post... about people that are over-charged and dont know it...and how i feel its our duty to do r & r's to stop other people being over charged by tescos..
but what i am saying...they will honour their price promise on one thing but not another....what iwas getting at.. was i am sure they refund more on meat over a period of time than they would the the xbox...blip....i know it will go down as waste etc... and would be written off in tax etc..
it was a general thought..Work to live= not live to work0 -
danlaur.. my hubby got out of the trade.. a few years ago.... and yes he was employed...by the company... and yes... at the time he was working there...12 years in total...if anything like i mentioned he would have been liable..
but....that was an example to try and get accross .. would it be the security guard or tescos... that i take to the cleaners... i dont want the ins and outs .. just a straight forward answere.. tescos or security person....
or do i just !!!!!! the person....afterwards..Work to live= not live to work0 -

Thanks so much to those who posted about this.

Reverse it then!
Neither are actually wrongly priced.
The discount does not come off the Xbox when you buy the game!
It all depends how you look at it!Keep SmilingSite member number 24
