Is that because
1) your store has had to cough up on an R&R, and has therefore taken steps to make sure the mis-price/R&R opportunity is removed
2) Instructions from HO ?
3) 'cos YOU know what the potential can be for 'customers' to benefit from this debacle, and so have made sure all the questionable POS "aint up". I wouldn't blame you if you did use info from this thread to make sure your own house was in order - common sense really ! :cool:0 -

Stand corrected, it is only the less knowledgable amongst us who are under the illusion that there is anything criminal about our activities.
Equally as brave as you must be to need to register a new id in order to post your provocative statement.
I personally sleep soundly especially after a good brandy although I'm running low now as they haven't mispriced it for nearly 14 months now and I only picked up around 25 bottles.
Tis a sweet feeling
The heart thumping stopped long ago for myself, never experienced "Jelly knee" and no courage required
Why on earth steal something that is free anyway?
So long as you are methodical there is no need for bravado and no risk on your part, feel free to have a go yourself one dayStand corrected, it is only the less knowledgable amongst us who are under the illusion that there is anything criminal about our activities.
Only because the more you do it, the easier it gets.
I've observed people such as you engaged in the activities described and yes, I can well believe you need a good stiff brandy once you creep home with your cleverly gained "booty".
I'll say it once again; will shoplifting be the answer if places like Tesco get their act together?0 -

Yes it does get easier as there are loads of errors to be found!
At least you admit it is "cleverly gained booty". I'm typing this reply on my biggest "R & R" that I got last October.
Nobody here would condone shoplifting. I have never "fiddled" with an SEL or any POS material. I would advise strongly against it as that would be fraud and they'll come down on you like a "ton of bricks".Keep SmilingSite member number 24

First Class - I'm sure you have a point, but not a coherent one. Either you think it is criminal or not? The whole policy of R&R is one Tesco initiated, not the consumer. If Duder went round spotting all the misprices they had instore they would be being hauled up by Trading standards every 5 minutes, so if Tesco have chosen this as their get out clause, so be it. If you don't like it - fine, but equally your complaint is more with Tesco than those who exploit it.0

It was never difficult in the first place.
That to me looks more like "I'm a p*ssed of c/s operative or tatood fatty"
Not so much a need as a celebratory ritual
Definately not shoplifting for your information is a criminal offence I prefer to stay within the bounds of law

I do hope you lot realise what I'm sacrificing trying to follow all your Tesco adventures
I've been so gripped by the sniping and angst on here, and the mis-priced post thread, that I've missed out on all the Boots bargins  , and probably some free cinema tickets
I have never been into soap-operas, but the 'goings on' especially in the last few weeks with:-
Will they get their console and game for free......... or won't they ?
Are we breaking the law........ or arn't we ?
Are we fighting a moral crusade on behalf of the extinct cornershop,..... or just a bunch of middle-class shop-muggers ?
Has my picture been circulated around on the "Tesco Most Wanted" newsletter,....and if so, did they get my good side, and if not,..... Why not ?:p
Surely one of you MSE readers must have some literary talent........write a script and send it into the Beeb......they wouldn't believe the half of it !!;)0 -
Yes..... I'm back...... after a few beers !!!
Only too glad to see that me input ealier has at the very least provoked some serious mind searching !!!!
Glad to see that some of you "get the point".... contrary to a few apparant opinions, I am not actually against "saving" a few quid... In fact, I quite like the idea !!...... but what I do find difficult is that when we see a "loophole"( for want of a better term ), that we choose to exploit it.... leaving ourselves open to criticism.... and then boast about it on here !
I support getting R & R when "they" get it wrong.... but do we actually really need to EXPLOIT it ... after all, someone has to pay in the end..... don't we ????
(Another thought provoking thesis............. )0
