Stores do not have the facility to share images of anything electronically.

Any shop can ban an individual and there is no requirment for them to give any reason. This is because they are private property.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

Completely correct, it's like me telling someone they are not welcome in my house anymore. It's private property so totally legal.
I spelt my username wrongly on purpose, by the way!

[QUOTE=normal]I had an unpleasant experience too. Thankfully not quite so heavy handed. I bought 5 PSP games and had the manager come and see me. He was politely intimidating and told me that I was abusing their policy. I said I'd bought lots of food in the past which was R+Rd and no one ever complained.
He said he believed I was deliberetly defrauding the company (he may have a point there!) but I held my ground. He gave me the games but said if I ever tried to defraud the store again then he'd ban me from the store. I asked if this meant I could never claim R+R again from that store and he only said that if he believed I was defrauding them. How he decides that one is any one's guess!
Can they ban people from stores without some sort of court order? QUOTE]

I suffered a very similar "grilling" last week, and the "acting duty manager" told me not to come into the store again......Apparently as it's private property, they can ban whoever they like.....for no reason whatsoever.

Bit of a story to tell.

I know i was pushing my luck but there wouldnt have been any issue if the misprices werent there in the first place. Have i been dealt harshly here?

As they say hindsight is a wonderful thing- now you can probably come up with all the right things to say to the idiots. Yes you were dealt with harshly and totally out of order. I would contact Sir T and let him (or Mrs Bloggs who answers his mail pretending to be him) know of the store and what happened.

I feel that as more and more people are latching onto this R&R policy -which is obvious as more names appear daily on this site - then the CS staff and managers are getting more and more cheesed off (to put it politely). I am not saying this is the case in all stores but there are several out there that are resorting to bully boy tactics to intimidate people to put them off even approaching the customer service desk. Everyone is different , some can handle it others can't. Even members of my own family say they admire me for going for my refund as they wouldn't know how to handle it. Any bad experiences are just put down to experience.

I must be a bit 'strange', then, as I actually quite like the challenge of taking on the manager/duty manager but I rarely need to do it! In the few instances I have had to, it's been established VERY early (politely but firmly) that there is no way he/she is going to succeed in intimidating me. The mood of the 'exchange' then becomes a lot more pleasant. But I realise that this isn't something that everybody is comfortable with, my wife for instance.

Can they ban people from stores without some sort of court order? Also found out that they are not willing to give more than their first name to customers to make a complaint. He had a very common name.

TBH, I'm an R+R virgin and found the whole experience very unpleasant. I'm still not sure if it's put me off or provoked me into becoming a serial R+R'r!

Keep trying but try not to get too many items next time. If it happens again, say to the manager that it is him that is abusing the law by selling things for higher prices than he should be. It is the customer that is being abused.

I guess I made a newbie mistake. I'll just be more careful in future. Live and learn.
For the record, all the following PSP games were stickered £19.94 but came up as £19.97

    Death Jr
    Dynasty Warriors
    Breath of Fire III
    Burnout Legends
EA Sports Fight Night Round 3.

Got a xbox360 from tesco today.

    Premium system with game, should've been £280 + £40 - £10 discount.

Discount didn't come off so was charged full £320 (prices rounded up to nearest £).

Took them about 40mins of having discussions between themselves before they offered me a refund.

    Spunk-Bubble-Tesco 0, me 1.

Need a few more showers now, feel dirty going in a supermarket (even if it is only to make them lose money). :>

Well done, which branch was it?

I have only ever had 1 real problem, which was resolved (in my favour) with an email to Sir Terry - this was for a £250 item so it is obvious why they disliked giving a refund.

The fact that I am 6ft tall & 16 stone probably helps - it would take a lot to intimidate me!
