Sometimes you can be so focussed on one type of item for r&r you completely miss another item on your receipt merely because you have fallen into your old ways of not checking them properly, you suffer from tunnel vision because the r&r you were expecting you focus on that and miss one you weren't. Always check all receipts thoroughly or you WILL be caught out in the future.

  • I have never done a R&R yet, but how do you know its a misprice?
I know that there are in-store scanners to check, but something must make you think that it is mispriced?

A good sentence spoilt by the lack of a first capital letter and apostrophe!
Don't go down the pedantic route of correcting grammar in posts.

Why not anyway it improves the standard of English. Some of the spelling and grammar is very poor!

I would add one further criticism in that it would have been better to clarify the sentence with the inclusion of "other people's" as above as it would not be pedantic to correct one's own and indeed commendable.

I will not tolerate such insolence of one who's mental capicity is lower than that of a human microscopic animosity!!

That's what I usually say to people who correct me anyway.

thanks clasics!(and taxiphil!-edited, as posted at the same time as your reply!) i guess i will, doh! nevermind, just wondered if an e-mail to cs would make any difference-just would not know what to write. back to tesco it is! shame cos i need a new phone!

    This is wrong!
A leaflet is "Point of Sale" material. If it quotes a price for a phone and the leaflets are on display then they should honour the price!
What is the difference with the Xbox I got last week? That was a poster which is like a leaflet. Try again CousinJack!
I once took a leaflet from one store to another but it was current (not out of date as in the argument last week). They honoured the misprice!

The in-store scanners at my Tesco don't work at present, shall I put a complaint in?
Also I used to work there so everyone knows me, do you think this will make a difference if I suddenly start r&r'ing? They already 'watch' me as I scan my coupons on self scan as they know I put tons through.

So far the store seems 'on the ball' with prices :( its quite small and everything is labeled correctly ... I'll keep my eyes open though !! :)

Another thing ... the Nintendo DS console, £10 off with certain game offer .... I went to get this today and the offer that ran out yesterday is still displayed - but they have run out of 'the' game. Any ideas? or shall I wait till next week ;) and see if they forget again ???

I agree with Martini on this one.

I see it like going into a clothes shop which is having a sale. There's normally a rack of clothes and often each garment doesn't state the reduced price on the ticket attatched to it, instead there'll often be a poster above that rack stating "10% off everything".

If I wasn't actively seeking an R&R on phones and genuinely just was looking for a phone, that's probably how I would interpret those leaflets being there.

    Hope that makes sense? :o
