I was concerned about the black bag because I didn't think it was safe, the corner was ripped and anything could have happened also she posted it via royal mail standard parcels when she told me it was going to be insured etc and it wasn't, it was just left downstairs in the communal area of my building and could have easily been mistaken for rubbish. I didn't think it was protective wrapping, if it had be lost in post there wouldnt have been any tracking or insurance either

Look, with respect, you seem to be worrying about inconsequential matters and not really focusing on sorting this out.

You also seem to be ignoring my posts, so this is the last time I am replying.

    Best of luck.

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT, file a claim and use "significantly not described" as the reason for filing the claim.

If you do, PayPal will Email the seller and say that you have opened a "significantly not as described" claim. Then, all the seller has to do is click on "file a full PayPal claim" and PayPal will then instantly decide in favour of the seller, close the claim, and there is NOTHING that you can do.

DO NOT file as "item significantly not as described".

    Best of luck

What a load of rubbish. If it is significantly not as described, then say this! You can submit emails and photos onto PayPal that will be reviewed by a human being.

PayPal are notorious for siding with the purchaser (often wrongly) so I would see what they suggest before going down the legal route.

If PayPal do agree with you, they'll just ask you to return for a refund.

Another thing, if you are in a Union or have legal cover with your car/bank account/house insurance then this is the time to use it. Give them a call.

And if Paypal reject the claim simply file online through the small claims court instead and get your money back that way. I have done it for mobile phone cashback - it was really very easy.

She has pretty much admitted in her email that there was damage she had not told you about (as you had not asked - bizarre) so she will not have a leg to stand on. She sounds a callous cow - any bride prepared to do that to another bride is pretty heartless IMO - so be prepared for a fight.

I was just checking my paypal and no I don't have her address! What should I do now? I'm sorry if it came across that I wasn't listening I am very grateful. Now that I don't have her address what should I do? Does that mean I can't do the small claims? I paid her by paypal and her address is not on there

And, contact preloved asking how you get another members address.

Thank you, I don't have any legal cover, she hasn't responded to my paypal dispute, there's nothing on there. Can I still go to small claims without having her address?
I feel so bad about this, she seemed nice and I just feel so stupid now as she knew all along. I did ask her about stains and she said none on the skirt and I also asked her about the rips and she said there were none, she didn't even mention the holes and all the stones missing :(
I would never do this to another bride, I know how important these things are and I was on a budget which is why I bought it on preloved and now I feel worse. I have kept all the emails back and forth before I sent the payment for a record, but if I don't have her address what can I do now?

Paypal might still side with you so wait a while. They do not usually side if the seller tbh. You'll have to refund and provide Proof (Special Delivery) and they will track the number online. The funds would be held by Paypal now and even if she has taken then they will get them back out of her bank account.

no her address is not on there
    I was just looking through my emails and found this;
    "Hi
Thanks for the reply, would it be possible for you to tell me how bad the staining is on the skirt, is it just on the trim? Was it not able to come out in the dry clean? Thanks for the offer on the bridesmaid dresses but I don't need any. Please can you also tell me where you are? If possible can you send me a photo of the damage to the skirt as this is my main concern and don't wanted to be disappointed, thanks Kim"

    This is what she wrote:
    "Hi

The gown has been profesionally dry cleaned costing £100, the main staining is on the hooped underskirt which can't be seen at all! There are no rips.
I also have two matching bridesmaid dresses age 1 and 5 that match the wedding gown."

She lied about it and the rest I just was too stupid to ask, I just presumed it would have the stones attached

I paid for it on the 10th in the evening so not sure where the money would be now. Shall I just wait to hear from paypal now? I don't think I'd be able to do small claims with no address would I?
