Have I just lost £400?

At this point I would stop fannying around by being polite to the seller, and send something along the lines of...
"Dear xxx, Unless you agree to a refund of my money within 7 days, I shall have no further option but to file a claim in the small claims court for the full amount, plus all associated costs, at which point any further correspondence can be addressed to my solicitor.
I look forward to receiving a full refund. Yours faithfully, Kims here".
No mess, no nonsense.
P.s. Having just looked viewed the advert, I would suggest that it is misrepresentative of the actual item in question. It does not detail the faults in the text, and the picture is far too small to see the faults for yourself.0 -

I asked her in my emails if the dress had rips and she said no0

Yet again a further example of how the advert, and associated emails, are not telling the whole truth.
Did you keep the E-mail for reference? If so, print out a copy now, so that you don't lose it.
Be prepared to file a claim in the small claims court. It really isn't a difficult or frightening procedure.
Good luck!0 -
As you can see there are so many everywhere
All the swarovski stones were missing from the dress 62 large stones
I have attached a photo here to show you all, if you look at the silver square one you will see the clasp but no stone, it's the same all over
Just wanted to say thanks to the earlier posted for teaching me how to upload pics0 -
She has replied saying this:
"I told you that the dress was dirty underneath which it is, you only asked if the dress had marks on. The stones came loose whilst it was being cleaned and this was unavoidable. The stones can easily be replaced as the claws are in place. I am sorry you are not happy with the dress but I think the dress is in good condition to wear again with slight repair. You have paid £400 for a £1600 dress. I would not expect anymore for that money. It is an exspensive designer dress that has been worn once and professionally dry cleaned. The photos I sent you were taken the day before it was baged up. The bin bags that I packaged in were used as the dress would not fit into anyting else that was sold in the post office. I do not accept refunds and I would have told you this before I sold you the dress if you had of asked."
What should I do, I feel sick about this and my hearts racing, I would never ever send something like this to anyone, let alone for their wedding, how can she be so horrible I just don't understand it.
I have opened a significantly not as described on paypal and now I think someone is saying that is the wrong thing to do, what can I do? please help0 -
Have you actually read any of my posts? They tell you exactly what you need to do!!!!!!!!!!!0

Can I reccomend you post this in the ebay forum, they are very good in there in talking ppl through paypal disputes0

Unfortunately the PayPal dispute route is too late as the OP has already filed a dispute as "significantly not as described". :-(0

That is the important bit, that should concern you (not the wrapping, bin liner or no bin liner)!
You only received it this morning. Give the seller time to reply. It's too early to turn the thing into a drama (just yet).
I was concerned about the black bag because I didn't think it was safe, the corner was ripped and anything could have happened also she posted it via royal mail standard parcels when she told me it was going to be insured etc and it wasn't, it was just left downstairs in the communal area of my building and could have easily been mistaken for rubbish. I didn't think it was protective wrapping, if it had be lost in post there wouldnt have been any tracking or insurance either0
