• I want to try to get my money back with the help of my bank and would be very grateful if some of you who have managed to do this could tell me how they did it?
Did your bank give you a refund if so how did you get it?

Have you read the whole thread? I wrote quite a detailed account of how I got refunded, and so have several others.

Good luck with these scumbags!
• I have just fallen for this scam. I have spoken to my bank and they are going to dispute the payment for me. I have also cancelled my card so that they cannot take any more money from my account. would be glad to hear from anyone that has been able to get their money back.
• Most of these blogs date back to 2010, but just to warn people, they are still up to the same tricks in January 2013, i.e still calling themselves Google when they are not.
• After a 1 month 'trial' last year I am dispute - now I have just spoken to someone in the credit department who in a passive aggressive manner said that I have two options after charging back - either continue the dispute and it could cost me both charge backs plus a £150+ admin fee or I could settle with them for £100+ and then they offered me a months google ad words. The fact that they have rowed back from their 'court action' offer could mean I am in the right but I don't want to continue with the potential' debt' - has anyone else successfully disputed a chargeback with them?

They are now working under The Online Supermarket.
• I am also having a dispute with Net Search Media. Stopped dealings with them via email, and had credit card claim back money taken. I have now received a demand for £330 to cover "administration fee for the time and resources spent defending credible transactions in line with their operating terms and conditions and client service level agreement."

Alternatively I can pay a full and final settlement figure of £120, offer valid for a period of 7 days.

How should I respond to their threats regarding court action ?
Should I ignore them ?

Thoughts would be appreciated.

Regards
• I have also fell for this scam.

Paid £120.00 for a months trial on Google at the top of the first page, my Ad lasted less than a week and then NOTHING! called them in query and they said my ad had so many clicks that the daily budget was used up so the Ad was not showing. Have checked every day thereafter and still nothing. Complained but a waste of time & effort....they keep saying the same thing. If what they say is true, my phone would not stop ringing, but needless to say It has not rung once as a result of any Google 'sponsored' Ad by them. They have your cash and thats it, NO REFUNDS and no Ads after a couple of days. In a nutshell you pay £120.00 for £10.00 (or less) worth of Adwords which you could have done yourself and got a better result. Thanks to this site I have cancelled my card (before a second and unorthorised payment is attempted). They still operate under World Wide Marketing Solutions, in the same place as of Feb 2013.

I notice that this has be going on since 2010 so they are still scamming MILIONS out of us without any recourse.
• I fell for this lovely scam a few days ago, so stupid of me! I was out walking at the time, ordinarily I would be at home and would have had a search online while on the phone. The impression I was given was it was Google, offering to get me to the top of search engines for the area. Sounded great, and parted with £150 (including VAT) for 5 weeks trial with no contract. Got home, got the e-mail, who is Worldwide Marketing Solutions? They informed me that my advert was active, but no sign of it on Google. Alarm bells ringing, I searched and found this thread. I contacted the bank and they've cancelled my debit card so they can't take anymore money. I also sent an e-mail cancelling the account, and actually received a speedy reply which is as follows...

"Ms. * ******,

I must say that I am shocked and bewildered by your email below as I have just listened to your recorded validation telephone call, in this call it was extremely clear to you that our company is worldwide marketing solutions ltd and not Google, also on the day of the sale you were emailed your welcome documentation, terms and conditions and a paid invoice.

Due to the above information we have cancelled your account and given the opportunity to another business in your area who are due to start when your advert is completed."

I asked for a recording of the conversation, surprise, surprise, no reply to that! Due to what some of you guys have said, I will also be sending a follow up letter by recorded delivery about cancelling my account, as well as one to my bank saying that I do not authorise any further payments taken by this lot. I will see if I can kick up a fuss about a cooling off period, but doubt I'll get the money back. Expensive lesson, please don't even give the time of day these cowboys. I will revert to my original stance which is you only need something if you contact companies yourself!
• Hi
I am a small business owner and have had a similar experience with these con artists. They contacted me in January this year and offered me a 1 month trial with Facebook advertising. I had to give my card details as security and they assured me that no payment would be taken unless I wished to proceed with the contract.
The trail came to an end, they contacted me and I said that I was not interested as I already pay a substantial amount each month on advertising. That's fine they said, and heard nothing more.
6 Months later I was checking through my bank statements and noticed a payment of £150 each month going to... Worldwide Marketing!!! I contacting them questioning why they had taken this money? 'You never cancelled the contract' they told me.
I Instantly contacted the payment query department of my bank (R.B.S) After a 5 minute conversation explaining what had happened, they told me the money will be refunded and by in my account by midnight, which it was!
Apparently this company is well known to bank and credit card companies so my advice to you all who have been affected is to contact your bank rather than the company.
Hope this helps....
Kris.
• Watch out all those who have been scammed by these nasty little people, I was contacted by a company that said they could get me onto first page, and I could have one month trail, I tried them out for a month contacted and requested a cancellation, I thought no more of this and today I checked my business account and found money to the value of £150 per month for the last 3 months was being taken out by a company calling themselves Worldwide Marketing Ltd. I contacted my bank visa division and put a stop on any more payments being taken, my bank then gave me the phone number they had on record and I called them.
I asked them who they are and that I only had dealings with The Online Supermarket, the arrogant little man on the end of the phone informed me that they had bought the online supermarket. I told him that this was unacceptable and informed him that I have ceased all future payments off my card and should they try and take it my card would be refunded. he told me that I could not terminate this way I had to tell them. I informed him that as I had not done the original dealing with them I was not obligated, and that I had no invoices, notification of change of owner ship that they were dealing illegally, I have told them I will taking this matter up with OFT and companies house. he tried to brush me off with a statement that my keywords were incorrect and would call me back later, well guess what they haven't so be warned theonlinesupermarket now is worldwide marketing and they are nothing but thieving unscrupulous individual's that prey on us small business owners thanks for reading and be warned
• I reckon we've been conned out of £1000s over the years by these rip-off merchants.

New year resolution is they are not going to get another penny from us.

Worldwide Marketing Solutions <<< Avoid!
