  • To those, like me, who were duped by Worldwide Marketing Solutions I hope this offers some hope!

I relised the day after we paid them that they were a scam and immediately contacted my bank (I paid by debit card) they disputed the visa transaction and about 2 months later the money they took was finally returned to me.

The entire month our 'advert' was live I constantly harrassed them with emails stating I knew they were a scam, constantly demanding my money back to be told they don't do refunds. When the email came through towards the end of the month about cancelling I made it extremely clear I wanted to cancel repeating that my bank and I were aware it was a scam.

They are a complete pain and have certainly taught me to never ever agree an advertising over the phone!

Hope it helps some of you :o

  • I was getting no where, in the end i told my bank i would issue a summons against worldwide and my bank. I received my money back from the bank today. If you paid by credit card you are covered legally by section 75.

Not quite what you said in your first post last December

These idiots did this to me, I did this by credit card and put in a fraud claim and had my money paid back. I would say to anybody that had more than £750 taken from them, then issue a statutory demand for winding up against them. This will allow you to liquadate their company. go to bankruptcy - insolvency . co. uk this will sort them out. There is also the county court once you are convinced you have had money taken without your permission then do not mess about go onto money claim on line and get them in court, if you are an indiviual the case will be in your local court so they will have to travel.

Just had a call from Net Search Media, trying to sell me advertising on facebook. Said they could get me adverts on 50,000 facebook pages for £100 for 31 days.
I said I wasn't interested because there's no way of checking that.
They told me to search for 'offers on facebook' on google & said they would appear at the top, I couldn't find them and gave up looking after page 3 of google - not a good advert.
I then looked at their website & went into some of the 'facebook pages' they had showing and then found out that none of the pages were real companies, which I thought was deceptive.
I asked for companies that I could get recommendations from but they wouldn't give me any.
I could not get them off the phone no matter how many times I said I wasn't interested, I just hung up in the end.
The phone number they rang me from was 0161 633 4210.
    Avoid like the plague!!!

  • Just heard from a guy who lives in Oldham that Worldwide Marketing Solutions have gone bust... does that expression "reap what you sow" come to mind?
If anyone still has an issue with the company, you must take it up with your bank and make ABSOLUTELY SURE no further payments are taken.

Were you in a pub at the time?

Unfortunately, the rumour you heard doesn't seem to have any corroboration.

I wish it were true, and then this thread that keeps being bumped back up by brand new, one time only posters could die, but sadly there is no evidence to suggest it is.

How could a company go bust if all these one time posters keep sending money for nothing in return???

All income, no expenditure - now that sounds like a perfect business plan :D

  • DO NOT give these scammers your bank details! I have had total nightmare with them, I thought I was getting a month's free trial, and they told me they'd feed back all the results etc. never heard from them, and don't think an ad ever appeared - I paid for a facebook ad. I called them to cancel payments (£118.80 per month!!) and they told me to email. I did (twice) and got no reply. They took payment again the following month (£118.80). I called again, they told me I hadn't given a whole month's notice. I informed the bank, and the follwing month they took the same amount AGAIN, which my bank got back for me. Can you believe it, they took£180 this month, which again the bank got back for me. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE these guys need to be investigated byt the police.
  • If you're paying them and they won't stop taking payments despite your resquests, you MUST contact your bank and ask to sepak to the credit dispute department. If all else fails, close your bank account.
