    Hiya Jwil,

Hope you have perked up a bit now - and if not at least you have tomorrow off :) It is my nephews birthday this month  - that is because i have no present sorted out and it needs to be a good one too

Oh and fab about the free pizzas!

Oh yes and i know what you mean about spending money on stuff when you aren't quite ready to - but am sure if you do go ahead and get the doors done it'll make a huge, huge difference :D It is also really good that you could do this without adding to your 'official' debt - although you may be like me and want everything including payments to OH to be at £0 :o My house has been nice all week since I did the final push and got all the clutter banished :D On the downside this has left me itching to get some of the jobs done that desperately need sorting out - such as new windows and doors - they are leaking :( so isn't really something i can put off indefinitely but whilst there's no money it is just not possible :(

Hope you have a lovely weekend x

Thanks DDFW, that's one thing I do find, that whilst the house is cluttered, it does stop me focussing on the big jobs. I will get more edgy about that once we have decluttered. It will make such a huge difference though when we get these doors done. You sound like your house is a bit like ours - desperately trying to hold it all together until there's some spare cash! It's not a fun way to live for sure.

Hope you have a good weekend too xx

Well bingoport is all change today. It looks like it will be a lot harder to get the amazon vouchers. It's a shame as it was great, but I can understand it really. It couldn't really go on like that forever. I shall still keep playing though, maybe not as focussed as I have been though.

    Hi Jwil

Good to hear that the money is coming for you on e-bay and amazon sales :T and thanks for the info. on bingoport too - will see how it goes though i just don't have that amount of time to spend on it :(

In wonderful news I should be getting a new-to-me front door from a lovely fellow MSE'r :j:j:j All i need now is someone with new windows for me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Am only joking - ish :p. The door that I am getting is bigger than the one i have now but as i have said, if i had the money to buy a new front door it would have to be bigger than this one and all the neighbours seem to have made their front doors / doorways bigger so shouldn't be too much of a problem. As far as i'm concerned anyways - sorry - still a very difficult time here and i am trying not to vent or cry about it :o

I had a really upset tummy again yesterday and can only think its due to my constant worrying and feeling alone with everything. Right now I am making a concerted effor to put my positive head on - hence i am e-baying, it needs doing and i need the money.

Yikes! Sorry to clutter up your thread hon :o but i do talk alot :rotfl:

Sorry you are still having a tough time DDFW, please feel free to vent on here or Pm if you want to :grouphug:. You're not cluttering up my thread, it breaks up my own waffle :rotfl:. I know how ill it can make you worrying all the time - I've been there. If I can help at all then please shout.

That's lovely of someone on here to give you a new door, I'm sure it can be made to fit.

Windows - we're not replacing ours yet, but I can offer you a couple of ancient, crappy cracked patio doors if you like :rotfl:

On the other hand, I'm going to win the 85 million Euromillions jackpot on Tuesday, so I'll get you some new windows then, ok :D

Aww I've had a lovely day today visiting my sister and family. It is my nephew's first birthday so saw him and my niece. They are both cuties.

Shattered now though. Weather is not looking brilliant this weekend, so not sure if we will be booting. We need to clear the extension probably ready for the survey for our new patio doors next week. The actual fitting of them though will not be for 4-6 weeks I think.

Dh finally had a call from one of the counsellors we approached last night. He has an appointment for 2 weeks time. That will be 14 weeks wait since we requested it even for private counselling.

He's back to work next week, I'm not looking forward to it, as he's been so much better since he's been off. Hopefully it won't be too stressful. I'd like him to leave completely, but there are certain aspects of the job which for him outweigh the negatives. I'm not so sure though, but it's his choice. Maybe the counselling will help.

    Hiya jwil

Cracked patio doors hmm ... i think i'll pass :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Aw! Sounds like you had a lovely day visiting your sister and nephew.

That sounds such a long time to wait for counselling - really hope your hubbys return to work goes ok.

Maybe its a good thing you aren't carbooting this weekend - it'll give you the time to clear the extension ready for the survey and once you've cleared the extension you'll probably both feel great for having a room/area of your house that has been organised and has space :)

(Wades into this thread after a long absence).

DDFW - I know what you mean and you have my sympathy. I wish I knew what to say to get rid of the worrying but if I did I'd use it on myself.

I'm in a very similar situation with no money, feeling alone and a million things to worry about. But for now, I just wanted to offer you a virtual hug and say things will get better. They have to, for all of us. We're strong, we can do this.

Hi Jwil (I'm back after a long sludgy period of wallowing in my own failings)

Glad you are keeping going, well done. Lucky you getting new patio doors, we need new ones as well as new windows all over the house (yeah, like THAT's going to happen any time soon).

Hope your DH manages OK when he goes back to work, try not to worry about it too much yourself, you've enough to to be getting one with. :)
