Just paid £52.30 to my cc, though only £10 of that will reduce the balance as the rest was covering purchases that I made on it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Actually it's £20 off the balance so that's even better!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Morning everyone, hope you all had a good weekend.
My loan and CC payments have come out today so that's £356.50 paid. Will have to sit down and work out what I've got for this month. We are probably going to go away for the bank holiday at the end of the month so will need some cash for that.

We've received a quote from a windows company to replace our two sets of patio doors. These are in desperate need of doing as one set has got cracked glass and has been so since we moved into the house. The cracks are spreading and it's only a matter of time before the inner pane goes completely.
The quote is a lot less than one we received previously, so we will probably go ahead with it subject to a few details being clarified. DH is going to pay and I will add my half to the money I owe him. That means my debt will increase, but not my 'official' debt which shows on my credit record.
It will be so amazing if these doors are done though, the ones we have are filthy, don't work very well and ancient. I can't clean them as I am too scared the glass will break. It will also mean we can use one as the back door and potentially stop using the 'proper' back door which is in the kitchen. It is already our plan that when we do the kitchen to block up the back door, just leaving a window and putting cupboards all round, so we could put something temporary there instead to have a bit extra storage and workspace.
Although financially it would be nice if we could wait a bit longer, I am very excited about potentially getting it done! :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Not very MSE or healthy
, but last night DH decided to order pizza. When it arrived, there was a distinct lack of topping, so I completed their online survey and mentioned it and that we were disappointed.
I've just received a phone call from said company offering us 2 free large pizzas the next time we want them, woo hoo! :T"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oooh, that pizza sounds v mse now :T
That sounds like a great plan for your doors btw. It'll be a big help that your OH can pay and you can pay him back.
I'm off to tackle my kitchen and general cleaning up tonight. Boo. Ho hum...0 -

It's more MSE, but I'm not sure I'll fancy one for a few weeks now! Oh well, there's no hurry.
Hope you had a successful evening!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I'm feeling shattered today. My eyes were closing whilst I was reading in my car at lunchtime.
I've got tomorrow off though as it's my nephew's birthday so I'm very glad about that."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
