Thanks for the tips-good to know!! Might try and sort some more listings out tomorrow-I know it's free listing today but i use turbo lister and don't think that's included-not very moneysaving but time constraints prevent me listing today!!!

    Good luck with your selling!!

Free listing weekends can be a double edged sword as the market will become flooded with more similar items. So don't feel too bad if you missed the free-listing weekend boat, you might actually make more money listing mid-week.

    Loving your diary, it's inspiring!

I have a wedding to pay for at the end of the year, so right now I'm selling everything that is cluttering the house up. Also trying to get the old debt down.

eBay once called me and offered some selling advice. The best tip was that half 9 on a Monday night THE best time to sell.

I also sell alot of my old clothes and everytime I upgrade my phone, I sell the old one. You can make more than 3 times what the phone shops want to buy it off you for.

Thanks Ebayqueen, good to see you again!

Having a wedding is a great incentive to get selling!

I often end my items on a Monday evening - I do find it is a great time. Not as late as 9.30 though. It does seem though that people take longer to pay when it ends on a weekday evening, I think they must forget that they've bid!

I use Turbolister too, it's too much of a faff to list using the ebay pages. I take advantage of the free listing days to relist stuff, although they are saying that relisted stuff is not included now though. They didn't charge me last time, so it will be interesting if they do later.

    1) list another 25 items by 07/11/10
    25/25 so far :j
    2) collect at least another 25 items ready to photograph for after point 1 has been achieved.
    30/25 so far :j
    3) get 25 items sorted for charity by 07/11/10
    80/25 :j

Well done Tattycath, you've done brilliantly!:j:j That's loads that will be gone. I'm thinking I need to set some targets for me too, it's very motivating.
    Hi everyone,

Was sick yesterday and spent the entire day in bed. Haven't done that for years. Snoozed and watched stuff on iPlayer but did no payable work nor did I earn any money in any shape or form.

Not to worry, up and about today. Will make the most of the ebay free listing weekend and will get some of the many piles of clothes up for auction. My younger daughter deposits a new pile of clothes in my bedroom every so often - it's really nice stuff as well so i think it should do OK.

Have postponed the car boot because I am simply not organised enough. Will need to clear lots of other stuff out before I can get my head around the car boot. Will DEFO do one before Christmas, promise. :)

I listed the 3 ebay items this week on 30-day BINs because I didn't want to let them go for next to nothing. One has a watcher (why bother on a 30-day BIN, one wonders) - hopefully they will sell sooner rather than later.

Right, off to iron lots of my DD's ebayable clothes while watching the rugby. Cheering on England, Wales and Ireland today against the southern hemisphere - COME ON LADS!!!

Sorry you've not been well peaceandfreedom, hope you had a nice rest yesterday. I've still been feeling rough too, ironically, the day I was off sick in the week appears to be the day I actually felt least bad! Weird!

I hate to tell you that I am watching stuff on a 30 day watch list :p It's books that are cheaper on ebay than amazon that I would like to buy. As I don't have the funds to buy them at the moment, they just sit in my watch list and keep getting relisted. I'm probably really bugging the sellers :D

Well done on the listings though! Hope you managed to get some more done today.

We need to do a boot sale again soon, we went looking this morning and the boot sale was packed with buyers, it would have been a really good day for sales I reckon!
Oh my God, thanks for this tip- I so much want to but it is almost 8.30 pm, and I must clean the house before my house mate comes back from work and must iron the cloths because we are (me and Not So Little Boy) going to London tomorrow for a photo shoot. Gosh this is a long story , I will tell you all about it but later because now I realy want to put those cloths to ebay especially when there is the free listing. I will let you know how I get on. It is going to be very long night. I am gone already :rotfl:- lots to do , and thank you Jwill, for kicking me on the butt basicly x

No problem for the butt kick want to be free :D Feel free to return the favour any time!

Hope you and NSLB had a great time in London, I look forward to hearing about the photo shoot - very glam!

Hope you managed to get something on ebay!

I've had quite a nice weekend, though not particularly productive.

We were in Plymouth yesterday and it was lovely weather so we had a wander around the Hoe and the Barbican. Today we were booting this morning (no books bought by me :j) and only a DVD and a purse which I needed a new one, so pretty good.

This afternoon we've been out and about too, so I'm not going to get much done now. I will add on my 5 items which are on Turbolister and get the rest relisted too. I have 7 items selling tonight too, so hopefully a couple more will go before they go out as well.

Woo hoo! 14 items sold :T:j I shall update the totals when I figure them out.

Everything is now listed and relisted, and I'm going to settle down in front of the TV and try and finish my book whilst watching Strictly and X factor.

    Have a good evening everyone!

Just wanted to pop in to say hi :)

I'm reading your diary from the beginning and just got to the 1001 books list. Bit shocked that I've only read 11 of them! And now I've just bought your recommended Diary of a Nobody seeing as I'm not on a NSD! One of my favourite books is Diary of a Madman, not on the list though!

    Wowee!! Well done!

Well, I had a nice weekend but when it comes to listing on ebay, it was what the kids would call an 'EPIC FAIL'. :p

I did finally get around to sorting out a lot of DD's clothes. There are well over 100 items of clothing so far (not to mention the 8 supermarket bag-fulls that are going to the charity shop), all of which have to be washed, dried, ironed, photographed and described! I will be bundling them together in large-ish bundles (about 30 pieces) but I do find that the bundles sell for much better prices if they are presented well, with items grouped in 3s or 4s and described properly. A lot of work, and I will get it done this week.

As ebayqueen has pointed out, the free listing weekend can have its downsides - so I'm not that bothered about missing that.

Yesterday, I overdid it having been so unwell the day before and by evening time I'd lost my mojo completely. Didn't even stay up for Match of the Day (unheard of!).

Today I've had a good day. Went Asda to stock up on Heinz baked beans (£1.08 for 4) and Quality Street (£4 a tin). Then I got a plastic food storage box to use as DS's lunchbox. First time EVER I went into Dunelm and bought just one thing without any impulse buys. Then a supermarket shop at Sainsburys. Spent £80 but that is two-week's worth (family of 5) and included lots of bulk buys because there were cheap deals. So feeling happy with all that.

Made a slow-cooked beef casserole for dinner. Also made some yummy spiced fruit compote (will do me for breakfast most days this week), have stewed and frozen more freebie cooking apples, have made some very nice apple muffins (with some raisins soaked in brandy to give them a bit of a kick) and also made some banana bread to use up some black bananas.

Now, it's only 33 minutes to Downton Abbey. I shall watch it while embarking on a veritable orgy of ironing.

So not an entirely wasted weekend. :D

    Enjoy your evening folks.

Well, the person 'watching' has bought the item since, goody-gumdrops for that. Also sold another amazon item so that's 4 parcels to send off tomorrow.

Errr, London was satisfactory except me spending £100 more then what I budgeted:mad: I cannot say that it is not my fault, because I did not read the small print- but NSLB totally enjoyed it, he is so beautiful , his pictures are brilliant- our pictures, ehem well he shines really, and me Gosh I need to loose more weight:D

When I had written to you last time, it was saturday at 8.30 pm- well I cleaned the house, cooked a meal , iron the cloths that we were taking to London, washed myself and even slept a bit God I was rushing on Sunday. We left at 11 am and came back home at 10 pm - so had no time to list anything which is really shame.

Would you please tell me when the free listing is on again, or is thre any web site that I can look ? Many thanks for that before hand .

Ah and big WELL DONE to you for selling all those items on Ebay :j:p
    Don't forget smiling :):):)
