The even worse news is that my employer is no longer going to fund a group that we work very closely with. That is really bad news, not just on a personal level as we are very close to our colleagues, but on a business level as they do a huge amount of fantastic work for us. It is a real loss. They are looking at getting some funding from elsewhere but they won't be doing the same work for us.
Lots of bad news there, jwil. It's a pity the way things are going. At least you are definitely in a job for another year, which gives you a bit of breathing space and lots of time to offload all those things on ebay.
Hope you are feeling better tomorrow.0 -

I have also booked a table at a local table-top sale, which is happening later on in the month. And myself and younger daughter have decided to finally do a car boot sale this weekend. Lots to do!
Ooh, that's brilliant, well done!!!! :j:j

Well done peaceandfreedom and tattycath! You've both done really well.
I managed to get 5 items on turbolister this morning before I went to work, so will get those uploaded over the weekend. Hopefully I'll get some more on too. DH wants to be out for most of the weekend, so not sure how much time I'll get, but I will make an effort!
My sore throat has turned into a stinking cold, so not impressed."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I got a £5 amazon voucher from bingoport this morning, yay!
Oh, DH saved me a couple of quid yesterday too - my tail light was out on my car, so I was going to stop and pick up a bulb on my way home. DH turned up and took it out and put it back in again, and it worked! So must just have been a loose connection.
The kindle has turned up - DH opened the box just to check it was ok, it looks fab! I have to have lots of restraint not to grab it off him and start playing with it :rotfl: I've already downloaded some (free) books which should automatically go on there once I open it :T"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hope you're feeling better soon hun.
Well In a vain attempt to keep motivated I have set myself some targets...
I want to:
1) list another 25 items by 07/11/10
2) collect at least another 25 items ready to photograph for after point 1 has been achieved.
3) get 25 items sorted for charity by 07/11/10
So far out of that list i have another 2 items on turbolister-just need another 23 items listing
Have a box with 17 items in it ready to photograph-need to add at least 8 more.
I think if i can set myself bite size chunk targets i will have more chance of achieving my objective-well that's the plan!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

That's a good target to have - should be challenging but manageable, and will be a nice few things gone once you are done!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I've now got 24 items on my list to be photographed-only 1 more to sort. Just got to list another 23 items before the 7th and sort out 25 items for charity.
how are you doing peaceandfreedom?

Well done, you are storming away! I'm working from home tomorrow, so should be able to get a few things on before I start. It's amazing how much I can get done when I don't have to faff around getting ready for work and commuting.
That's excellent about the M&S voucher hope you enjoy it when it arrives!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Hey, you're doing well. :T
I haven't done too badly today. Got three replacement Belkin mice for those that stopped working (they have a life-time guarantee). Have listed one on [STRIKE]amazon[/STRIKE] - EDIT make that ebay. Amazon charge a compulsory £4.50 to the customer, making it uneconomical to sell. Daft that.
Have also listed 2 of my Toy Story 3 items on ebay. I've decided to keep the other smaller things for the table-top sale.
Sold 2 items on amazon today.
Got a £5 Debenhams voucher via text. Have now got 220 Costa Card points - finally enough for a coffee!
So all in all not TOO bad a day.0 -

I work from home every day - but I do have to pack the three kids off to school, then eat a hearty breakfast before I can do anything much.
The more I list things on ebay, the more I admire you, jwil. It's such a lot of bother. Oh well, it's good to get things sold and out of the house and it's good to have the money in from Paypal when I need it. But I'll be glad when I have done with all the ebaying.
Hope you get loads done tomorrow. :beer:0
