To raise my £1500 I think I need to sell 500 items.

    .....

Phew, it's going to be a challenge!

Jwil, that's a massive challenge! Even if you don't make the 500 items, you'll have done loads and cleared clutter from under your feet. You go, girl. :T

Exactly - that is the hope :D

Had a reasonably good today. Freecycled an old bike that DH had but never used, loads of people wanted it. Also have a taker for a fireguard that I bought without measuring our fireplace - it's too big for it, doh!

Have almost finished painting a wall cupboard in the garage that's going to be a larder for tins and other stuff I buy in bulk at Lidl and wherever I find special offers.

While I watched the Apprentice I painted a primer coat onto a couple of little Ikea drawer units, which I am shabby-chic'ing into something a bit more attractive.

Also got a fair bit of paid work done today.

Have made no dent whatsoever in the ebay pile, but the paid work has to take priority.

Feeling fairly pleased, all told. :A

Sounds like you had a very productive day yesterday Peaceandfreedom!

I've got 21 items on Turbolister and have lost the will to live :o I'm still only selling 1 item so only 478 items to go....

Might put a couple of books on amazon, you never know when they are going to sell though, so it's not as easy to predict as ebay - much easier to list though!

Just uploaded my 21 items. Still only selling 1 item grrr..... They've got 2 hours to go, and the bits have been relisted plenty so I'm not overly surprised, but it would be nice to get another couple of items gone.

I've got another non payer. It is for someone with 0 feedback. I sent a reminder invoice yesterday (they won on Sunday) and they messaged me to say they would like to pay by paypal, how do they do it? I sent a message back telling them how to do it, and have heard nothing. I don't know how long to wait. I really don't have the time or patience to be waiting for people to sort themselves out - I want this stuff gone! And there have been quite a few non payers recently, it's really starting to bug me. I suppose I ought to be nice and wait as it is their first purchase, but I think they should equally be making an effort to get it sorted! I bet they don't even have a paypal account.

I know I am all ranty on here, but actually I am really nice to my buyers - if they just messaged me and told me what was happening, I will quite happily wait - it's just the total lack of communication that really bugs me. I'm really tempted to set up the automatic NPB process where it starts automatically as soon as 4 days pass.

Oooh, get me - all grumpy!

You may notice that I've changed my siggie again! It now lists each of my debts individually :(:o:( as well as a total so I can see how I'm getting on.

Yeah, well I don't blame you - it IS very annoying. My non-payer has finally paid up - another one with no communication going on. You're right that that's more annoying than anything else. And after all that palaver we can't leave them negative feedback but they can leave US negative feedback - how is that fair?

Amazon is way easier to list things, and they handle all the payment side as well. I only sell non-fiction books and some DVDs/CDs because fiction books are a waste of effort usually.

Anyway, good luck with that list of 500 items - sending lots of selling vibes your way :D

    It really stinks doesn't it.

I do prefer amazon and have loads on there, but you never know when you are going to sell something, so can't use it as a target if you see what I mean.

I do sell fiction on there - as long as you stay away from the popular fiction, there's generally a chance of getting a bit on there. I always calculate how much it will cost to post and if I can make more after that than I could at a boot sale, I stick it on there. If not, off to the boot sale they go.

    It's PAYDAY! :j:j:j

And I've spent it all :(

I'm feeling pretty organised though - paid off the bills that are due, and just have two that I need to raise money for. They are not due til the end of the month though, so that should keep me focussed.

It will be a grand month when everything comes out of my paypacket with some left over. :)

    Happy Friday everyone!

Oh, I finally sold 2 items last night, so that's £9 to add to the pot. :T
