I've listed 8 new items so far, and have relisted 55 other items. I've reduced the price on some of these in the hope of clearing them.

Ebay are kindly keeping a tally for me, so I still have 37 items I can list this weekend. Some of my potential relists were only listed last weekend, so I've decided not to relist those this weekend unless I pass the 100 listings mark, as they will be eligible for the listing fee credit if they sell next time. So the 37 items I have left will probably consist of a few more listings plus maybe some more relists.

That's enough for the time being though.

Hi jwil - i'm practicing quoting :D - thought i'd be able to multi-quote though but bah! foiled again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyways, huge well done on e-bay :T:T:T Mine are going to be re-lists so i'll do that tomorrow night to see if it helps with sales any ;) i think i've got 2 new things to list but as they are only 99p things there's no rush with them other than getting them listed and then out of the house ;) If i don't sell on e-bay they'll go on carboot you see - especially the lower value stuff as i think they are easily worth £1 :)

I'm settling into a more relaxing day today after everything i did yesterday  - although i have to admit the living room is a complete site  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: though i have a cunning plan to sort this out involving the strategic re-organisation of storage - worryingly this requires OH and tools we don't own  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:- predictably i think it'll be great once its done - its just the getting it done part :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: But its all part of my future plans and i did very well hauling everything into the living room in the first place :) *pats self on back* :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Now i've done some exercise today, spent some time with OH, done some reading and free bingo. Going to have me a nice hot shower and get my toe-nails sprarkly for tonight - lovely to not have to cook or wash up afterwards too :p and need to think what i want to do before we go (heading out at i think 5.30 so is quite early) and i just want to feel like i've achieved something but want it to be something thats at a nice easy pace :o - especially after exercise phew! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope you get everything done that you want to today - you've done loads already hon so remember to have a nice little break x

Well done on the quoting DDFW, multi quoting can be a bit temperamental for me too sometimes.

Sounds like you've had a nice day, well done on the exercise! Cunning plans for reorganisation and storage are always good!

Hope you have a lovely evening!

I've done a bit more since lunchtime. I've made a shepherds pie, washed a pile of dishes, tidied around and packed away my huge pile of jiffy envelopes. Also wrapped DH's birthday gifts, read a magazine, put a book out for car boot and pottered a bit.

See how much I can achieve when I have the house to myself? :rotfl:

hi jwil. well done on keeping going. It must be tough sometimes. I too must do some listing, maybe I can convince myself to do some today.

Hi chev, thanks for popping in! It's definitely hard work, but will all be worth it in the end. Hope you manage to get some listing done, I'm trying to raise some enthusiasm myself.

  • I may consider listing one or two things on ebay, but enthusiasm for it is severely lacking I must say. :D

Finally did a car boot this morning, cleared £85.

This was good because it was mainly low-value items I was selling for a quid or two each, so I'm pleased with the final profit. That included a bacon buttie as well. :D

Even though I've done quite a few car boots now, I am still taken aback sometimes by how very tight some people are. We have a box of stuff with 10p things in - well one woman wanted two of the items for 10p altogether. I said No and she put them back! I mean for goodness sake, 10p per item was a steal. I've no doubt she'd happily spend 20 times that on a cup of coffee!!!

Most people are lovely though, I do enjoy a chat and a laugh with the punters at a car boot. And the weather stayed nice and fine. :T

Can't declare all of the £85 on my £10 a day because gave some to my kids, but I'm declaring £70.
  • Aarrgghhhh! Can anyone guide me through multi quoting please ? :o

jwil - fab news on all you managed to achieve :D Hmm shepherd pie Om nom nom - is it freezable and do you have a recipe please :D Didn't have alot of home cooked meals when i was growing up - usually just a roast on Sunday and the odd potato hash so i think this is why i don't know how to cook alot of meals ;) - added to that i was vegetarian for over 10 years of my adult life :)

peaceandfreedom - well done on your carboot :T:T:T - i had to laugh though about people asking to pay less for things when they are a totally bargainous price anyways :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

For me i am only going to be re-listing on e-bay - the new stuff i've lifted out is just 99p starts things and i don't think i've recovered enough from last night to consider this :o Had a really good time :j:j:j Lots of laughs which was just wonderful and lots of compliments on my clothes too :) I also experimented with a new make-up look so very pleased with myself :D I feel fine - not hung over or anything - just not used to the hugely late nights :o

Hope everyone has a great Sunday :D

Well done on the car boot sale, that's really good! :T:T

I can't believe how tight some people are as well, it's ridiculous really. It's funny when they get really stroppy because you won't accept their ridiculous offer as well :rotfl:

Right. Multiquoting - click on the pink and yellow balloon button at the bottom of the posts you want to quote (you can only do 3 at a time I think) Then scroll down to the bottom and click on 'post reply'. You should then be able to see each of the posts you want to quote from.

It's got to be 'post reply' and not 'post quick reply'.

If you want to break up someone's post to comment on individual bits - click on 'quote' and then you'll see there are html codes at the start and end of the message in square brackets. You need to copy and paste these codes into each section you want to quote. So the one that is at the beginning is at the start of each bit you want to comment on, and the one at the end is at the end of each little bit. Does that make any sense? There may be a quicker way of doing it, but that's how I do it.
