Hi jwil - not sure if you're out carbooting now? hope its been a good day for you
I know exactly what you mean about listening to the sound of the rain whilst being cosy indoors - that is great.
Today i will start to gather some of the items together for my target of 100 e-bay things  i don't think i'll start listing them yet unless i'm happy for them to go for just 99p
I too have not been getting much done and have had the time seeming to run away from me - so will be focusing on this this weekend tooCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Yep, just got back. Have just realised I'm a bit pink as I forgot the suncream, but have emptied two banana boxes so that's a reasonable amount of stuff gone, very pleased with that!
I am shattered now though, so probably won't be up to too much tonight.
The good news is, I didn't buy a thing, not a single book, go me!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
:j:TOoooh, I won Euromillions woo hoo!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

:j:TOoooh, I won Euromillions woo hoo!
If you won a fortune, sling a few quid my way would you?
Feeling a bit low tonight actually. I'm sitting here listening to Amy Winehouse on Youtube, feel so sad that such an amazing talent lost control of her life so badly, it's such a waste. 27 years of age, so young, so brilliant.
Also feeling so sad for the families of all the young people murdered in Norway - having 3 teenagers myself I can only try to imagine the horror those bereaved parents are going through.
And then there's that terrible train crash in China, that nurse apparently killing patients in hospital, it's like one grim disaster after another.
Sometimes the world is such a depressing place. Off to bed now and hopefully, things will look a bit brighter in the morning.0 -

Sadly it was a hefty fiver on the euromillions, so I won't quite be retiring yet,
It is really awful everything that is going on at the moment, it really can be quite depressing watching the news.
Hope you are feeling a bit better today peaceandfreedom.
It is very sad about Amy Winehouse, such a shame as she had so much talent. I really enjoyed her music."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Havent been very productive this afternoon, been 'decluttering' some magazines and watching ebay avidly as DH's sales are doing VERY well :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

We had to buy a new printer today . My old printer died at the end of last year, so I went out and got a new Kodak one in a hurry as I needed it quickly.
The print quality is absolutely shocking! It's fine for very basic black and white printing, but for colour it is atrocious. Very disappointed with that.
We need the colour for some stuff that DH is up to at the moment, so he bought the new printer thankfully. The difference is huge."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi all
peaceandfreedom - hope you are feeling better soon x
jwil - i so identify with that feeling - where you buy something because you need it / and its one you can afford and there just aren't the hours in the day to weigh up all the different options only to get home and find what you got is disappointing and therefore feels like a huge waste of money  Well done on your OH's ebay sales - presumably this means that this will also be things decluttered from your house too :T:T:T and we all need to relax at times too so reading through some magazines sounds a lovely way to spend an afternoonCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Yes, it's so frustrating when you buy something (especially when it's not cheap) and it doesn't do what you hoped.
DH's sales went far better than expected, and yes it's more stuff out of the house :j He was umming and ah-ing about listing one item as he wasn't sure he wanted to sell it. Others had sold for about £14 so he figured he'd put it on at £15 and if it didn't sell, he wasn't too bothered. It sold for £48.55 :T. Another item he listed for £9.99 and it went for £51 :T. I wish my sales did so well
I did sell one item yesterday for £7.49 and a book on amazon for £3.08 so I'm happy there.
I'm going to pull a load of books off ebay now, and send them to the boot sale where the dealers can dig through them. There's a few which I will keep on, but most will go now. These are books we inherited, not mine, but it will free up 3 bookshelves for my books :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
