Hope you are feeling a bit better soon DDFW, it's hard when you are always rushing around."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Right, I've paid £10 to various debts today, I need to force myself to make more payments. My overall balance for the challenge is only going down by £6 though as I need to start getting the balances down on the ccs that I've used."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Hi all
Should have had a bit of a lie-in today but was hoping to catch some MS's - alas there were none but i am sat here enjoying my cuppa :coffee:and playing free bingo so a more relaxed start to the day :T
jwil - i will pm you my username for BP - but alot of my family play on there - although i can't imagine we'd ever have a chat about bills on there :rotfl: i have selected you for some cg wins before
The tiredness is probably partly doing such alot without scheduling in some proper relaxation time which is something i need to factor in moving forward but also my illness makes me very tired - did have a good chat with the doctor last time i went and i think he's now a bit more aware of how truly down and exhausted i feel so at least i know i've done all i can there - until the next time and a different doctor :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I also find it hard to relax as i worry about my job(quite a stressful job) and am always trying to think about how to make / save some money - guess alot of us are in the same position?
Sorry to hear it was cold where you are peaceandfreesom - but it was also a bit of a relief to know its not just this house if that makes sense? nd its good that you are busy with work too
jwil - you are doing great - i know what you mean about using the cards for things as you know i did the same which also means i need to address my budget for future - i like new clothes and do tend to need them on occasion - as in my smart work shoes have just gone in the bin and i've no more  i do have a budget in mind for which i will get alot if i shop sensibly in the sales so a budget for the year split between summer and winter and keeping a track of it in my sig in future too :cool:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Thanks for the pm DDFW, I shall keep an eye out for you! Aww thanks for picking me for cg wins, I don't often watch while I'm playing, so I'm going to have to take more notice now. I shall pick you too if we're on together.
Don't worry, I don't talk about my debts, so wouldn't dream of it, on there or FB or anywhere. I think I'm pretty recognisable on here to people that know me, so I just have my fingers crossed that they don't spot me.
I wasn't particularly cold last night, but the other night I was tempted to switch back to the winter duvet!
The great sales plan sounds great, and splitting the budget between winter and summer sounds like a good thing. That's generally when I get the urge to buy new things - when the seasons are changing."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". And it is indeed very chilly, no heating on here either, just my Farmer Ned cardie.
Thanks, the ebay thing is going well when I get around to actually listing things. Will try to do a bit more soon but I'm so busy with work (which is a good thing - but there's just so much to shovel into my brain at the moment ).
Glad work is keeping busy. I hate listing on ebay :rotfl:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Oh yeah, though my job is not stressful, it's just quite busy at the moment but I'm enjoying it. If I feel my brain is exploding I just pop out to the greenhouse and chat to the tomatoes for a while.
You need to listen to your body and get enough rest, DDFW, especially if you suffer from a chronic illness. And RELAX because worrying about your job isn't going to make any difference. When you find yourself fretting about your jobs, let those thoughts slide out again and think of something else. Distract yourself.
Now, if only I could follow my own sage advice!0 -
Paid another £6 this morning - £2 to three ccs. Two of which have been used, and one which is reducing the balance.
Going to try and prepare another load for ebay if I get a chance later."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hi all, Thinking i'm going to try and relax a bit today - finally got a day off but had a really hard shift at my p/t work today which left me shattered  I then had to scoot to the bank to put some cash in for my PAD today and then realised if i hadn't gone to the bank i'd have been overdrawn (beyond overdraft :eek::eek:) as the interest was charged today - i thought this went on later in the month and yeesh! its higher than usual amount too :eek: Then did supermarket shop - put most of the stuff away scanning it as i go. Washed pots and had a cuppa and some crumpets and now onto my second coffee :coffee:
Jwil - maybe we should do a little e-bay challenge? In fact we could all do it if you like the idea too peaceandfreedom? Really need a push to just get things done! Well done on your extra payments too jwil - i like the way you've split it between reducing existing balances and extra spends :T
Can't believe how quickly the days gone - thats the trouble with working p/t and f/t when i have a day off one i'm often working at the other and don't get the real break i need. I have an MS in place for later but may see about putting it off until another day - will see how i feel - trouble is at the moment every day is busy but really i shouldn't grumble as alot of it is a good busy as in working p/t MS's etc. Managed to get to payout on 1 survey site yesterday so have requested that as cashSometimes if there are shop vouchers where you get more for your money i request these instead.

Hope you manage to get some relaxation time in DDFW!
Ebay challenge sounds good, but looks like today is out now, so will try before the weekend.
Well done on the survey payout though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
