That's not to say that once it's on the list, you can forget about it, but you can stop nagging yourself about it, to some extent, and know that there's a plan/intention there to get it done at some time in the future.
Very true, I might give it a go"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Feeling rough again today - this is another thing that I hope will go once I'm debt free - the constant 'knot' of anxiety in my stomach. It really makes me unproductive as I feel so bad. It's probably not helped that I didn't sleep well last night, and I've got a lot of work to finish before Friday.
Anyway, some amazon money hit my account this morning so managed to pay another £6 towards the debts.
I might try your trick DDFW of listing them next month, see how much I manage to pay extra."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Oh, last night I couldn't lock the new doors in the sun room - one set would lock, the other wouldn't. I was in and out for over 1/2 an hour, trying every different key, opening and closing, making sure they were fully closed etc, but no luck. So I was preparing to get onto the window company today to get them to come out and fix them.
I woke up DH when I went to bed and told him I couldn't lock them (ranting and raving a bit), so he gets up, goes downstairs and is back within 30 seconds.
"They locked straight away, you must not have had the door closed properly".
I have no idea what happened at all, but I am so glad he checked before I started complaining to the window co :rotfl:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Another load of stuff for DH sold on ebay last night, so that's all good. Got to get that packed tonight though, what fun!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hey jwil and peaceandfreedom
I'll pop the recipe on for the chicken by monday if thats ok? the working week is always busy for me what with the 2 jobs and MS's and that doesn't seem to stop at the weekend either but at least i know i'm not at f/t work this weekend so should have some more time - although i think OH will see me as his labourer again when he's working on the house
I have done a small amount of batch cooking today :T veggie curry - was basically the bits left over - few potatoes, sweet potatoes, onions, pepper, garlic, tinned tomatoes, curry powder and seasoning - just been to the supermarket so popped some chickpeas and tomato puree in for good measureWhat i am really happy about with this is that this is food that would have gone to waste otherwise
:o:o and wasted food is very annoying - and it didn't take long to prepare either (thanks are to hypno of course for the recipe
)
Great news on the sales jwil - yet more things leaving the house can only be good :T - I know what you mean about that feeling of having all these bills hanging over you. Part of the reason i started a diary was to allow me to honestly look at what i owed and address it. The thing is that i am wishing the days away so i can check for money due in my account and get another payment sorted outCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
There's no hurry for the recipe, whenever you have a free moment
Veggie curry sounds yummy, and even better when it's using up leftovers. I might try that for lunches as DH probably wouldn't eat it. He's very traditional with his food, though he's getting better at trying other things though.
Know that feeling about wishing the days away until the next payment is made, it's quite sad really :rotfl:"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I seem to have a burger thing going on today :rotfl: I've got two big packs of mince, and so one I am going to make some burgers which I got from the SW thread on here - they are yummy! I will freeze those to use some other time.
Then I am going to try and make Big Macs from The Takeaway Secret book and see if they are any good, as DH likes them, and if we can make our own, it will be much cheaper and healthier on the odd occasion that we do fancy a McDonalds.
I've also got a gammon hock out of the freezer so will probably use some of that will chicken and ham pie, and the rest I'm not sure about yet, but will probably use the stock for soup or something, and then the dog will get the bone, so everyone's happy"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Oh, and I'm planning on making Tiffin and Fruit cake too - very healthy"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Sounds lovely Jwil
I have read all your diary and if you don't mind I will subscribe. You are doing so very well. Keep going. What about amazon this week. I haven't sold anything on it for a few weeks, but as you know thats the way it goes. So hopefully soon I will get rid of this mountain of books too.
Take care

I've managed to sell two books on amazon this week, so quite pleased with that. One of them was pretty hefty too, so it's space-wise equivalent to about 3 books!
I had quite a rush over the last couple of weeks which has been quite nice, but sometimes I can go for ages without selling them.
Hope you manage to get rid of some of yours too!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
