Sorry to hear about your loss of money. Having thought about it, could you not have got the dummies from Boots either in store or on line? That way you get your points and goods which if not right you can return with no problem.
This ebay lark sounda a nightmare for some. Surely it cant be a bargin every time.
With saying that - I respect some people have good fortune with ebay, but surely if money is tight for some people, you canna send it back if its not right..... or can you???? I dont know.

The best of luck with your fight...

Soolin has explained about the returning bit, however I thought I might add, just for discussion purposes, that not everyone can get to Boots! My nearest one is about 100 miles away! Perhaps there are others who have one closer but just cant get there...public transport/work commitments/disability, who knows there are hundreds of reasons why people use ebay!! You dont always get a bargain, you need to keep your eyes open!! #1.50 postage, I think is fair with this item...Boots themselves prob start at 3.95 or the like anyway to buy online from them!!

Sorry my post is just to agree entirely with what razorblade kisses has said. Do a paypal chargeback not an ebay one, and if you paid by credit card on paypal and the chargeback fails then claim off your credit card.

    Soo

ditto..... chargeback/claim through paypal not ebay.

ebay will only do if it s for more thatn £15, then they claim the £15 as an admin fee......
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)

Yes you can - as the seller, you post it at a post office and get a certificate of posting. It covers you for somewhere in the region of £20 worth of goods. I always get one, regardless of what I'm sending, as it covers your back as a seller...

but a standard cert.of postage is not adequate for a paypal claim as you have to provide a tracking number. If a paypal claim if made you should get the money back. Have you asked the seller to send you a copy of the certificate of post (so you can see that she has posted it and stop accusing her/him of stealing from you)? You need to advise her that the contract of posting is between her and the post office so she will be required to make the claim. Unless the persons feedback is full of negs for not sending items (in which case I'm sure you wouldn't have bid), I do feel you are being a little judgemental or perhaps you are one of the very few who have never sent an item and it not arrived at its destination. Reality - Royal Mail DO lose post!!

i think a lot of people have taken time to give you some advice from their extensive experience of using ebay as sellers, just to give you the other side of the coin........... just because you don't want to hear it doesn't make it wrong ;)

i'd give the seller a little while to reply to emails over the bank holiday weekend - they may have just been away and not able to respond. it's in their interest to sort this out with you amicably to avoid negative feedback so if you're patient then it should work out. it's annoying when things like this happen but that's just the nature of ebay versus a 'normal' shop!

I see this as black and white, if you send something NOT recorded delivery you are taking a chance that you could be scammed, saying not recieved goods when in fact they have, you have no proof of delivery So the buck stops with the seller he takes the loss!!
If the seller has indeed sent the item not a problem is there? he can claim the ammount back off the PO.
Moral of the story ALWAYS send your goods RECORDED DELIVERY.

tbh, if you have asked her for it in the same tone that you have presented yourself here, then I'm hardly surprised she has ignored you. You came on here with the title that you had been 'robbed' - perhaps "item has not arrived, please help" would have been more appropriate - from what I can see, many people have taken their time to offer our advice but you will not budge from the fact that the item is more than likely lost in the post (as I said, what was the feedback like??) than the fact that you have been robbed - sorry, but the only person I can see being lippy is yourself. You don't seem very interested in the advice that anyone has offered - there are other options you could take in contacting her but I assume you already know that/done that etc etc.It really annoys me when people come on here with a problem and throw everything that anyone has said back at them. Try the ebay forums if you don't want to listen the people on here - but, they'll only tell you the same.
