so should i wait to see if i can claim back or inform the seller they can make a claim from post office?
very mixed up here0 -
If the seller has a COP then they can refund you and claim from the Royal Mail themselves. A COP covers an item up to £32.00.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I am just trying to get you to see the situation in a different light. You have not been "robbed" of £4.50 - the seller took your £4.50 and sent you £4.50 worth of goods, which were evidently lost in the post.
I agree they should refund you, but you should not be looking for malicious intent.0 -
how is this evidently neither you or me have seen proof of posting so at the moment i have alot more proof of sending payment than she has posting it!0

Ask them to send you a scan of the proof of posting?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0

It's no good to the buyer. The RM would only accept a claim from the sender, and what does it matter if there's proof of posting? OP hasn't received any goods.
I suppose it would stop OP being suspicious that it had ever been sent... but a good seller would be refunding at this point, not wittering on about not being responsible for the delivery. My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
From my experience its only a seller that can claim from Royal mail for lost items. Its a shame the seller isnt being helpful - wouldnt take her much to help you. As a seller i have had to contact RM over lost items b ut never had anything back from them. I hope you do get a refund - then go to tesco or boots for a dummy a pack of 2 of the best ones is less than £3! Ebay isnt always the cheapest for everything! Good luck!0

Hi Paul and Nat,
It is not worth getting stresses about. Start the claim, esculate it and get your money back through paypal. Ignore anything from the seller as they are clearly unhelpful. Don't worry about the COP. The seller is the only person that can use this to claim back from royal mail it is irrelevent to you if thay have this as it does not prove delivery.
I think the giz took a dislike to you using the word "stolen" and wanted to try to get you to see what the seller might think. As we are addressing what you can do about your situation and can only help given the information you have given, what the seller might think is irrelevent.0 -
thanx all 4 ur advice im just gonna wait ans see what happens with the claim on paypal! then wont get anything else off that site again its nothing but trouble for me! thanks again
