I have taken it to mean that the seller has a certificate of posting which is available for all standard postage (ie not recorded or special).

If the procedures are followed to cover yourself whether buying or selling ( wisely explained by Soolin) then you should be entitled to your money back if the system fails to deliver. When people start getting difficult or not understanding the rules it will reflect on them. Let the Ebay systems in place resolve the problem, as long as you have protected yourself either as a buyer or seller you should be re-embursted in full.0

I always use recorded delivery so there is no doubt to whether it has been delivered or not.0

You can also escalate your paypal dispute to a claim, to speed things up.
I am in the same situation but at the end of the dispute as the seller is no longer registered:mad:  But you can't get a refund from paypal unles its more than £15, bit crap really I just feel that someone has just stolen my money:mad: "Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? Please tell me how because I have been told by both paypal and eBay that they won't pay out for sums this small. Mine was £7.95

Thank you for writing back to us regarding your concern related to the
CD - item 4893125021 which you have purchased recently. Please allow me
the opportunity to assist you further.
Firstly, I apologize for the previous misunderstanding. The use of auto
responders allows us to quickly
answer many common questions. Since the auto responder is triggered by
the topic chosen, it doesn't, of course, always provide exactly the
information needed.
I can understand your frustration that the seller hasn't replied to
your
"Item Not Received" dispute yet.
Please be patient, the seller may still get back to you.
Unfortunately you won't be able to file an eBay Standard Purchase
Protection Programme claim because you paid less than £15 for the item.
Do you know any more than this which was sent to me;) "Did you hear about the frog that broke down on the motorway???? They toad him away!"0 -
What eBay have told you is correct. However, if you paid via PayPal then file a dispute with them as there is no processing fee involved.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Sorry my post is just to agree entirely with what razorblade kisses has said. Do a paypal chargeback not an ebay one, and if you paid by credit card on paypal and the chargeback fails then claim off your credit card.

lizzie12 wrote:Sorry to hear about your loss of money. Having thought about it, could you not have got the dummies from Boots either in store or on line? That way you get your points and goods which if not right you can return with no problem.
This ebay lark sounda a nightmare for some. Surely it cant be a bargin every time.
With saying that - I respect some people have good fortune with ebay, but surely if money is tight for some people, you canna send it back if its not right..... or can you???? I dont know.
The best of luck with your fight...
Ebay is like buying from your local small ads, you can't really just send something back if you aren't happy unless the seller states they accept returns.
If something does not arrive or has problems and the seller doesn't want to know then assuming you have used paypal (and I would recommend you use that for every single purchase, preferably backed by a credit card) then you can put in a claim through paypal.
Ebay is fun but a little addictive, I sell a lot more than i buy but the stuff I do buy I am very pleased with and have had some great bargains. However like everything you must keep your wits around you.
