And off we go!
'Emptied bank accounts yesterday, transferring all to new account'. Good ole' Santander take 4 days to transfer amounts over £500, so thats me with no access to funds until Wednesday, so annoying but I couldn't do it myself so had no choice but to transfer online.
Transferred all direct debits so it should fall into place soon.
On Monday will ring salaries and we are good to go as they say.
I got a pile of envelopes today from various creditors, but since I wont be actioning anything they ask me to, I maybe wont open them (yet)0 -

I had a few letters this morning and I filed them away aswell, just until my DMP is up and running, which should be soon, hopefully.LBM - December 2011, Total Debt - £13493.30, DFD - Mar 2021

Hi all, well I thought I'd been really clever by going onto my online accounts and deleting my phone numbers but guess wat, yep that's right I forgot one, HSBC cc, called me at 8 this morning, 3 this afternoon and 6 this evening, I dodged them because I still haven't let them know about my DMP because I am still in the process of setting up the new bank account. Hopefully that'll all be sorted by the end of next week. I should've answered and told them to !!!!!! off cause it's Saturday.LBM - December 2011, Total Debt - £13493.30, DFD - Mar 2021

TBH, for the first while we ignored the phone - if it wasn't a number I recognised I didn't answer. I also noticed that after ignoring them a while occasionally they appear to use mobile phone numbers.
ANyhow, once you get your plans in place, then just tell the ref, give them CCCS's number and tell them you're not discussing it - if that's what you want.
There's quite a few of you at a similar place in setting everything up - hopefully you can support each other through this bumpy bit of the road!

Well I thought it was going too well! Lloyds have agreed to the terms for 6 months only and have refused to freeze the interest though. What do I do now? Do I try and talk to them direct or go back to CCCS and let them try?0

First letter with £1 postal order getting put in the post tomorrow to Capital One.
Wondering whether we should just wring a letter the our current bank asking them to cancel *all* direct debits and standing orders now, before the new account is set up?
Sorry Devon, too new to this to advise, although my gut says to at least ring CCCS and ask them for advice xOur LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Apparently your creditors are not obliged to freeze your interest payments. Some of mine haven't, and my biggest problem with my dmp was my old bank - took them over a year to finally accept that I was doing my best, although they are still charging me a lot of interest. And one of my credit cards charged me double interest this month... I'm like others on here though, hate speaking to people on the phone I owe money to. But this one I think I need to sort out.Ninja Saving Turtle0

Hey
I posted a couple of weeks ago to say i was starting to sort everything out, well it took me a few days but i wrote letters to the companies offering a F and F settlement or £1 per month. Ive had 2 letters back accepting a pound a month payment and one letter asking to confirm my date of birth and previous address.
I have also had a letter from a previous council stating that they've checked their records and i don't owe them anything - i was very happy about that!
I havn't heard from anyone else though and wondered if anyone had any suggestions as what to do about it? I have seen that its recomended to pay them the token payments i have offered them until they contact me however how do i find out how to pay them? i hav'nt had any contact with them for a long time so i dont have any payment details for them?
Hope that makes sense have not long been up and a bit confudled!!!

Not posted for a while so bit of an update and need some more advice really.
Been with CCCS since January this year, and they have just cancelled our plan! its due to us having an argument really over an overdraft not added to the plan. We advised that this would be paid off over the next 2 weeks, but I received an email saying plan has been cancelled!!!!!!
I have just spoken to payplan about maybe going with them or I am seriously thinking about going it alone. Had some great advice on this already.
I have set up standing order payments for creditors this month already but have had 2 letters from 2 of my creditors already stating they want more money!!!!!!! Barclaycard have been pigs from day one and now MBNA have started!!!! I am so worried and cant sleep now:( I was hoping that the CCCS would give us a bit of time, Ive even asked if they would restart our plan, but I dont suppose they will respond
Any advice, help or words of comfort lol would be greatly appreciated!
following on from this, I have had some good advice from a fellow DFW who has been self managing their dmp for, I think, 3 years. This has given me hope, CCCS did say they would reopen our plan but not until overdraft had been sorted out. fair enough I suppose. I was gonna ring national debt helpline but I think I just need to be brave and just carry on what we were paying before, but direct from us! Barclaycard have written to CCCS even though I told them Im taking over, must have got crossed over in the post. Only OH's santander loan is a problem as not heard back from them with their bank details, its the only standing order I cant set up!!!!! Can anyone help with this???? getting annoyed (and quite worried)
any advice welcome:)LBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -
