Lots of new members and number requests! I can be rather lax I'm afraid, but won't forget you all, and will sort out the numbers at the weekend.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

After three years of struggling on a DMP, I finally setup a spreadsheet containing my regular incomings and outgoings, and record everything I spend out on. I think it's finally given me a (slight) grip on my budgeting. I've also found that drawing out your money (expenses) for the week, and sticking to that (rather than using a debit card), could also help.
Just stick in there!
I'd forgotten all about taking the money out for the week. I used to do that at the beginning but soon slipped into the easier option of using the debit card instead. I'm going to try that again from next week. Thank you.:TNinja Saving Turtle0 -
We have been drawing money out pretty much daily for a year, paying only in cash and it has certainly stopped any spur of the moment spending.Nothing worse than gettign to the check out in Tesco with not enough cash in your pocket and no cards on you !! Even though the DMP hasnt started , its still been satisfying watching our mountainous debts reduce, even if its by only by a few pounds each month ! All scarily addictive really, as is this forum !!
Quick question , do CCCS send each creditor a list of who you owe how much money to ,and details on how much you are paying each one ? Interested in how much personal information they are actually given .Can CCCS access your credit report or ask Credit Agencies etc to provide them with all our monetary history ?LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

Hey grigio
As I understand it they share your SOA with the creditors - so the other debts will show on there as will your outgoings. We've just asked CCCS to issue an up-to-date SOA to all ours because when the year passed we had a couple of creditors saying that the agreement had ended - but what they actually want is an updated SOA really and when they've had that they've re-accepted the payments. We've now had CCCS send it a new one out to everyone to try and stop this happening.
Don't know about credit reports and history etc.

Well, now I've got my head around the DMP stuff, I've decided to start looking at the whole PPI thing. I don't think I had any on the more recent CC and ODs etc. But, I do know my partner had something way back on a business loan.
So, I've gone over to the other side and been hanging out in the PPI Reclaiming area, collecting knowledge but, don't worry, my heart belongs to DFW !0 -

Infact I think I am pretty much everywhere at the moment, DMP, PPI reclaim, Hardship Bank charges reclaim, credit card charges reclaim....you name it I'm there ! Reading a book has become a thing of the past, now all I do is read this Forum !!LBM July 2011 - Finally took control Nov 2011 DFD Sometime in the distant future !

It does get to be a bit of an obsession Grigio but, it's about bloody time I took control of some financial stuff.... for too many years I blundered on without asking the right questions or being well-informed..... that's one of the reasons I ended up here:rotfl:0

i have finally got a response from sainsbury bank ...it's a default notice, saying i have breached the payment clause of the agreement and must pay £201.32 by 23rd december. if i don't, then the following may happen:
- terminate the loan agreement
- deduct the money owed from another account i hold with them
- demand immediate payment of the total amount owing under the agreement less any applicable rebate
- instruct a debt collection agency and/or take legal proceedings against you for the outstanding balance
Yes, totally normal practice. Dont worry too much, you have taken the most important step, and asked for help.
I found that creditors actually looked upon this favourable (obviously not including MBNA in that category!).
If you don't have it, you can't pay it.
And whatever you do, when they phone and ask for "just £10 more, just £20 more", don't pay them that. They are trying to hit their targets, and it is money off your table.DFW Long Hauler 292 / Sealed Pot Challenge Member #1452

Well I've had some good news! Lloyds have accepted CCCS's offer with the debts I have with them except my overdraft bizarrely. Just waiting to hear back from Barclaycard and Nationwide, so fingers crossed.0
