Hi All
Found this alert by the FSA.
No surprises but it looks like they may be being investigated??
I cannot post the link because I am a new user but the web address is fsa.gov.uk/pages/Doing/Regulated/Law/Alerts/Unauthorised.shtml0 -

That's very interesting. Thanks.

If they have in fact been going up and down the country obtaining fees for introducing a buyer who never ever buys anything, then it would probably be an advance fee fraud, which the Police have come across many times before. Leave that technicality to the Police / CPS to sort out, and if you feel you may have been defrauded, get in touch with the fraud action line. (Sorry, I don't have the details, but it's further back in this thread.)No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
If it's still happening it would be nice to see a sting operation when the buyer turns up.
Instead of police waiting for them, a bunch of burly lads...Been away for a while.0 -
Up-date - my husband tells me he tried to get onto IPG Website this morning and it said cannot be found, he also tried phoning and just got an answer machine. Either someone's closed them down or they've done a runner, - I sincerely hope it's the former!0

Website is still up (http://investpg.co.uk/) but the answer machine seems to be standard these days. If they haven't already done a runner, I'm sure they will soon.0 -

I expect that now that they've come under the FSA's radar that they've probably legged it.0 -
Have only just come back into uk and having tried the various numbers they all just ring out or go to ansaphone. So where to from here? I certainly don't intend to let this go, I think from our local petrol station we have a registration number and also have phone number from the original Mr Brown before he turned himself into someone else. Just to put into perspective, the house we were selling for about 135K which they offered for £142500(!!!) is now being readvertised for offers over £115000. Just listen guys. Can someone also post the one that list the VERY similar websites all obviously this scam company. I'm afraid I don't have time to re-locate it but it listed about 6 sites all so similar to this bunch.
Thanks,
If it saves someone else £1300 grand then great. Thanks folks.0 -
Carole just select a phrase from their website and google for it. However, there are firms selling templates for estate agents/property company websites, and it's quite possible that other similar-looking sites are unrelated, just using the same template.
Still no help from the Police? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
