If they turn out to be legitimate I will be the first to eat humble pie, apologise, and admit I got it wrong.

No . paid by CHAPS ---insistent transfer and money only being offered back at this stage "within 14 days" following "normal company policy". Read into that what you want.

    I will.

I wish I had a good feeling about it though.

As already pointed out by sparky7, the company's address is simply that of a mail forwarding company. The letters that they send out are franked SW19, which is Wimbledon. Looking through the SYH4F thread, I note that they had a Wimbledon address too.

    Coincidence?

I think unfortunately you fell for it....

They made 1100 pounds for a few phone calls, a website, registered PO box and one guy viewing properties of which he prob views 10-15 a day. meaning 10k + earnings a week...

Not bad scam if you ask me... playing on someones desperation to sell at their target price. Problem is any investor would use rightmove or a EA to view vast number of properties.. not a service like this.

Quite clearly its a scam and if its too good to be true.. it usuall is.

I could be wrong, but i think that moneys now gone.

Hi - if you had read what I said - no money has changed hands and I am sure the same applies to "bettyBooooop" as she said the same as me, the fees are paid on completion.

you did read Carole's post didn't you...paid by CHAPS, as per Carole's later reply.

They may be absolutely legit but we were very concerned and have asked for our £1199 to be refunded in full with immediate effect. We have tried Mr Paul Brown's number (he contacted me directly - strange how he had my number) but it has gone to answerphone for nearly a week now. It may well be you all get somehwere with this company, but we are still to be convinced that the "Mr Brown" is in fact a genuine buyer and we have no contract to support his offer to buy our house. Investment Property Group - if you can provide any evidence that you are in fact a genuine set up I will provide you with the soundest of references. Watch this space on that one. Anyone with any other information please do contact me. That this Mr Brown entered my family home of over 40 years, may be some kind of fraudster, and worst of all, put a family member at personal risk by showing round some kind of scam merchant leaves me in bits right now:mad:.

really hope you get this sorted Carole.

I am sure you are correct there, if it is a scam then its our money they want, not to do any personal harm (hopefully).

I wouldn't be surprised if you do not now receive a revised contract if this is a scam from what you have now added.

If they are a scam outfit then they will prey on the less aware and more vulnerable people who do pay upfront
