Anyway, I thought Mr Foster’s brief was getting you deleted?

    Perhaps that’ll be tomoz?
I'm still looking forward to the defamation of character lawsuit. Had half expected my posts to be deleted with along those of JMFoster to avoid any hassle to the site, but perhaps Martin Lewis does not take kindly to emailed threats, especially from those trying to defend unusual business practices.

I would be wary of using a company with a PO Box mailing address...

must admit.. JMFoster dissapera and then yet another individual professing how great this company sounds pops up.... whereas evidence points to the contrary (1 month in business... not even enough time to conveyance one property!).

    Blatantly an advertising effort.

Simple principles of business and selling a house:

You don't pay someone several times upfront to buy your house. They pay you.

If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

If an investor wanted to buy your home he would make an appointment via an estate agent like everyone else.

Never sign a contract without asking your solicitor to read it first.

Beware people signing up to message boards telling you how great a company is.

When Investment Property Group have a proven business track record and happy customers they have bought houses from, I will stop saying they sound like a scam, because at the moment IPG sound like a scam.

Not to be confused with existing companies called Investment Property Group, who I have no doubt are not a scam.

I think in the case of this thread there has been a lot of band-wagon jumping and putting the cart before the horse so to speak.

I searched this site for info on the company and all that has happened is that people have made some assumtions about a new company just because they are new, doesnt mean that they are bad, it doesnt mean they are good either in that breath.

Someone stated something about the company being a PO Box - the address does not indicate this.

Another has become a one-man warrior in a quest to insult someone else, even though they were only looking for info and refused to take any crap from him/her.

I wish my posts could be removed, I have asked for them to come off, presumably as the other person was bombarded with insults - it also started in my case.

I didnt get the impression that JMFoster was desparate - he/she was looking for info on the company.

I havent seen anyone say how great this company is, the few people who have enquired are all at a loss as to what is the best course of action.

We are having a solicitor look at the contract when it comes - what is the problem with that? nothing, no cash has changed hands and a "in principal deal" is all that has occured.

With regard to why cant they go through an agent - in our case we dont have one, we advertised privately, probably the same as the others, so all that has happened is someone has approached us to say that they have a client to view the property - nothing wrong with that!

And my final point, "tomoz" is a standard txt/email word used in the North East for tomorrow, nothing strange at all about it.

and for the people who want to insult my intelligence again - please refrain.

Please do post back with the contract details to provide some outline of how this operates - that would be the best way of answering some of your critics

If you don't like it put me on ignore or stop posting. The efforts of JMFoster to have me removed were less than successful.

Carole, in the circumstances you describe, I strongly suggest contacting the Police. There may be nothing in it, but they are well placed to investigate, and you are perfectly entitled to voice your concerns to them. If you feel you may have been at personal risk, that's all the more reason to involve the Police. Until people contact them, there's nothing the Police can do.

As some reassurance, if these are scammers, it's your money they want. I don't think they would want to hurt you personally.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

They may be absolutely legit but we were very concerned and have asked for our £1199 to be refunded in full with immediate effect. We have tried Mr Paul Brown's number (he contacted me directly - strange how he had my number) but it has gone to answerphone for nearly a week now. It may well be you all get somehwere with this company, but we are still to be convinced that the "Mr Brown" is in fact a genuine buyer and we have no contract to support his offer to buy our house. Investment Property Group - if you can provide any evidence that you are in fact a genuine set up I will provide you with the soundest of references. Watch this space on that one. Anyone with any other information please do contact me. That this Mr Brown entered my family home of over 40 years, may be some kind of fraudster, and worst of all, put a family member at personal risk by showing round some kind of scam merchant leaves me in bits right now:mad:.
