I assume this is where your drive was sent? (don't really want to turn up and be told your drive is somewhere else); the chances of them having opened up is slim (I hope).

This is a scam. Works for very easy stuff. Avoid sending any expensive HDD or they will destroy it and they will send you the below:
Section 4.2

4.2. Due to the nature of data recovery, our technicians may be required to carry out physical work on
the media/data/equipment made available to Fields Data Recovery. Therefore, the client acknowledges that

(a) the media/data/equipment is already damaged,
(b) data recovery efforts may result in further dam age to the media/data/equipment
(c) the media/data/equipment warranties may become void, and
(d) Fields Data Recovery is not responsible for this or any other type of damage.


They are complete amateurs and they will start from £200 and will end with £700. Worst experience by far in any field of service.
