Lovely night thanks KC! :T Very restful and cheery actually :j Just what I needed! :j
Where was I?? :rotfl: So far this morning I've been for a run, showered, cleaned the bathroom, eaten breakfast, tidied and swept kitchen and living room, and re-hung one of the pieces of wallpaper, and put some bread on to bake :rotfl: So that's where I was! :rotfl:
Off to women's institute now :T :T Tea and cake and charity shops, hooray! :T :T0 -

Glad I helped you to smile because by Dawkins I try my hardest to smile when in that situation. It is nice to have a diary to offload to isnt it? Yep the suggestions are the same here re the garden. Not touched for 6 years, I start on it and suddenly he is Diarmud Gavin (I wish - only joking he is cuter than he of curly hair and irish brogue)
Tibetan roast is a vegetarian bake loaf type thing. I have recipe elsewhereif you catch my drift. Not saying the B word because the shabby chic thread had a reminder earlier. Oops
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
My OH is now an expert on island living and all things ferry related and wind related and weather related.
Don't like to remind him he's not actually ever lived here full time:o
OK what's the unmentionable 'b' word?
OK um does it rhyme with clog?
I have clogs too - they aren't worn very oftenTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there. :beer:

Wow honeybear! :rotfl: What a marvellous pancake-flipping smiley! :rotfl:
Not sure the pancake itelf looks too pleased though! :eek:
WI done and dusted, very cheery. Also popped in a couple of charity shops, but didn't buy anything. Went on scales in Boots, 11 stone1 :eek :eek: :eek: Haven't been that high for months!! :eek: :eek: :eek: I reckon it's that blo*dy shred video - I've put on 5lbs since I started doing it several weeks ago!! :eek: :rotfl: So, in the spirit of taking positive action rather than moping, I am declaring from now on:
* NO CAKES, NO CHOCOLATE, NO BISCUITS,
* NO ADDED SUGAR ON ANYTHING (mostly I don't, but occasionally do to yogurt etc),
* NO MORE THAN 3 CUPS OF TEA A DAY (trying to wean myself onto herbal tea, normal milky tea makes me all bloated!), and
* AT LEAST 30 MINS OF EXERCISE A DAY (and ambling slowly to the shops doesn't count!)
I am evidently rubbish at doing this in moderation, I refuse to pay to go back to Slimming World, so drastic measures are called for! (I've banned all cakes etc before - and it's worked fine - then some b*stard forces me to have one and it all goes downhill! :rotfl:) however, I'm not getting any younger now (I'm only 30, but body evidently as resiliant as it was!)
I hereby declare I WILL get to 10 stone by Christmas - one pound a week (and an extra one pound) - pretty realistic I think??
Right, off to do something productive like hanging wallpaper rather than being cross at myself :rotfl:0 -
Oops Fay, missed you there in amongst all that pancake flipping! :T Hooray for cheery magazine!! :T :T Looking forward to it already, thank you :j :j Will imagine the bits you cut out :rotfl:
I assume the b word rhymes with clog, not entirely sure why we're not meant to say it though! :rotfl:
Well, second (and last) bit of wallpaper up :T first curtain all lined, and second lining cut out and one edge sewed :T Pancakes eaten :rotfl: one cheese and watercress, one strawberry and yogurt (with no sugar :rotfl:) Mr Daffs still in bed, so I thought I'd squeeze in a little PhD, I'd really like to get to the end of my draft of chapter 2 (literature) today :T SO, plan of attack for the rest of the day (in no particular order) is:
* finish chapter 2 :T
* finish sewing second curtain
* 15 mins clearing stuff from kitchen table
* 15 mins in garden
* washing up
* find paint ready for tomorrow
* check bank
* cheery walk later (possibly coming back with a few blackberries!)
* shred day 25??? :eek:
* stew windfall apples I bought at WI earlier for 25p :T
* cut rhubarb from garden and stew that too :T
Doesn't sound too bad! Best crack on with the PhD bit.....0 -

Hooray! Chapter's done, just wrapping up and toddling off for a nice walk :T :T Looks like it's just about to rain too - ah well, will wash away the cobwebs :rotfl:0 -
Hmm, well, I went for a walk for an hour, it was lovely and cold and blustery, and I went to my favourite spot round here - which is all of about 25 minutes (dawdling speed) walk away - goodness knows why I don't go more often, really must make an effort to do that! :T A little bench on the edge of a slope, drops off down into a valley, and you look out over towards the peak district, very pretty indeed :T Walked there and back, and on top of my (miniscule) run this morning, it's worn me out! :rotfl: Told you I was unfit! :rotfl:
So I've come back and made tea - onions, courgettes, peas, kidney beans, parsley, soy and a bit of tabasco, topped with slices of boiled potato, and a smidgeon of grated cheese and put under the grill - mmmmmmmmm! :T :T Thought I'd branch out from pancakes again :rotfl: And sometimes simple is good!
Just on my third (and final) cup of tea of the day too :T Got the house to myself now, but am far too worn out to do anything silly like stewing apples, so that'll have to wait for tomorrow :rotfl: Going to curl up on the sofa with some cheery tv and the second curtain lining - rock and roll indeed :rotfl: OOh - must remember to make the new bed too! Futon's all in place, just need to chuck the bedding from one bed to the other (very easy - the original bed is about 10 feet directly above the other one - what fun!)
Tomorrow? More PhD, starting chapter 3. Stewing apples :rotfl: Another cheery walk :T Blackberry picking. Painting the wall and putting the curtains back up :T Preparing for Monday at w*rk (just clothes, lunch etc). Washing. Bit of gardening. Maybe Shred day 25 :eek: (can't face it tonight!)
Oh, and I'll be avoiding the large packet of jammy dodgers mate-who's-staying has left in the kitchen :eek: :rotfl:
Anybody else up to much tomorrow??0
