:rotfl: lol KC! How funny :) I don't use that word very often, but this occasion seemed to warrant it somehow :rotfl: Anyway, someone's going to be cross because the bidding continued and it ended at nearly as much as when he sold it the first time and the 'dodgy ebayer' didn't turn up :rotfl:

Honeybear - that cup of tea and large cake is very much appreciated!! :rotfl: I've actually just made a cuppa - but I'm got no cake! Might have to whizz up a pancake or two later to make up for it :rotfl:

Mr Daffs has just gone out to do a gig, and I've got about 4 hours before he comes back... The plan is:

6.45 - 7.30 PhD - get a draft of mini structure of chapter finished

7.30 - 8.15 Very quick tidy up, put washing away, see if the hoover decides to work today (it's temperamental, a bit like me :rotfl:), if it does, hoover the house quick before it stops again :rotfl:

8.15 - 8.30 Make and eat pancakes :rotfl:

8.30 - 9.30 Secret Birthday Activities - a couple of things to order, a letter to write, and a couple of things to hunt out to start making presents :j :j :j

    9.30 - 10.00 Transcribing - start new interview

    10.00 - 10.45 ish - knitting!! :j :j :j

(thought it'd be more fun if it was stripey! :rotfl: Back in a bit... help yourselves to cake!

So - here's an update on the plan...

    9.30 - 10.00 Transcribing - start new interview

    10.00 - 10.45 ish - knitting!! :j :j :j

Hooray to fixing the hoover! (although it wasn't broken, just obviously annoyed at me last time :rotfl: And hooray to more pancakes! (although weighing in day tomorrow and I bet after 10 days of Shred I will have lost NOTHING as I've eaten too many pancakes :o)

Not started birthday activities yet, just about to now! But I have emailed the woman back about the Guinea Pig Car... Emailed last night asking a few questions and if we could go for a test drive, she emailed back this morning saying yes we can go tomorrow, and she'd ask her husband re engine and email back asap... Now it's the evening and still no message - and I don't have a phone number :( Emailed again cheerily asking her to get in touch to arrange when we could come over - just hope this doesn't turn into a palava like the last one :(

Anyway, mustn't think about that, going to take the hoover upstairs (but it's too dark to actually do the hoovering up there now, so will just leave it where I can trip over it tomorrow :rotfl:) Then back down to do birthday things! :j

    (sorry, bit giddy this evening!)

Oops, mr Daffs came back earlier than expected! So a few things got cut short, and I won't be transcribing (might squeeze in a bit of knitting though!) Did do some sorting of presents, which was the important thing :j

(still no word from ebay woman :( So have to wait til tomorrow now probably - rather annoying but there we are!)

well done for getting some pressies sorted. It's my parents wedding anniversary on sunday, all i get if asked what they want is...... Nothing! gah! I've resorted to making them a 3d cupcake each (from a template) and filling it with tiny scrolls with messages on them. I'm sure it will be wrong but they've got everything they could possibly want. At least there's some thought in it :)

Well, it probably spilled over a little KC :rotfl: Someone bought me a plug in pancake maker for my birthday :j (it's just an electric griddle really) - so much easier - I never was much good at pan pancakes - probably because my frying pans are all cheap and shoddy and not flat!! BUt this is really easy, don't really need to use any fat, I didn't have eggs so just whisked milk, flour, salt, and then they just cook away while I was hoovering the kitchen :):):)

Which is probably why I eat them so often... :rotfl:

Anyway, exciting news today - we're off to see a car!! :j :j It's the cheery Guinea Pig Car - owned by a fastidious pregnant methodist minister who does lots of ferrying old people around - exactly the kind of person you want to buy a car from really! :rotfl:

Fingers crossed! (although we'll still have to win the auction even if we like it!)
