London sounds fun - dashing across Retford station less so.. I once spent an unhappy half hour there trying to locate a taxi....
Do you know when your graduation ceremony is yet? We've been asked to volunteer to help out at a couple which sounds quite funDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
I do indeed know - although I can't remember :rotfl: 18th July maybe?? Will check
Did I say I got my certificate yesterday? :j :j :j Gosh that felt goodand it's dated April Fool's Day :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Just got home to a lovely cheery parcel full of far flung well travelled flying plants:T :T :T Soooo exciting! :j :j :j All potted on the windowsill next to my embarrassingly-dry own plants
Tea anyone?? Not had a cup for at least 6 hours
Spent lots of money today - oh dearCousin's birthday on Friday, stupidly didn't think in advance, so have ended up sending a cheque (fine, because she's 14 and will appreciate it :rotfl:) However, I did buy a card - extremely unnecessary and stupid of me  and one for an anniversary too
And then I hadn't taken lunch to work, so ended up buying lunch too - pah!
Must reign myself in!
(only been to work two days this week though, so that's £12 into the savings pot when I sort it out, and I might only be going in one day next week, so that'll mean another £24! :j)
Right - tea0 -

Tis indeed VL - to be honest I thought this wouldn't be a big deal at all, since I've already techincally known everything was fine for several weeks now, (a couple of months, in fact!), but it does feel extremely nice indeed to have the official document
With my name on it and everything

Congratulations (again but this time its in writing) DR Daffs. Very proud. So will this be a blog post? And are you getting your tea out this week? Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Don't know as it's going to be a blog post, we'll see! I tend to only do blog posts on things I can take cheery photos of
No idea when tea out will come!

Just skived off work and went down to old PhD office to clear everything out once and for all. I don't have out of hours access any more, so had to do it in the day time, and there was no way I was taking holiday to do it! However, I've now used up half a day I should have been at work, so will have to work half a day tomorrow or Monday instead. Ah well.
Feels rather good to have done it! :T :T Recycled piles and piles of paper (and vowed never to amass that much again - although not sure how long that'll last :rotfl:) Brought home more stationery than you can imagine :rotfl: and some books that I'm going to have to find a place for, oh dear!
Might give it a few weeks then have another sort through, I'm sometimes more ruthless on the second time round
Think we've pretty much decided tonight is the night for our celebratory teaSo Mr Daffs is having a nap, I'm going to work for a while, and then have a shower, then we'll head out :j :j :j Gorgeous evening for it too :j
Full of the joys of spring today! :j :j This art of living cheerfully thing is obviously working :j :j (although I do keep forgetting to do the assignment things, oh dear!)0
