Yay to the London trip, how wonderful! I bet you have a brilliant time - and fancy finding the time this morning to write!
Cheery, can I ask, sorry - how is chocolate not vegan? Is it the milk chocolate? If so, all is explained .... I know what you might do, tho, to make your own chocolate sweet - melt dark chocolate, soy cream (which is *really* good these days) and sugar together .... maybe with some flourI bet there's a recipe somewhere
Best of luck with it tho, and interesting that cherisong practically did it for the detox - that says a *lot* about what we eat ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning! Your Body Shop haul sounds brilliant - sounds like all useful stuff rather than things bought for the sake of it that lie around in the bathroom (been guilty of that many times
)
Hope you manage to get finally free of the PhD soon - blooming annoying having it drag on when you think you've finished.

Some of the Green & Black's chocolate is vegan. I think the cherry one is.

Oh there's plenty of vegan chocolate out there, just not the cadbury's caramel that I might buy on the way home from work :rotfl: And anyway, for me, this month is about getting back to eating well and focusing on wholefoods, not finding every excuse for a vegan cake going - that's what I did last time! :rotfl:

Ah! Now that I understand, sadly

Have a great trip Cheery. I am in London for work on 16th and have just booked my hotel. Not a hostel and rather nice for a change. With regards to the Green Tea. I took ages to get used to it. Found it bitter until my friend (japanese) told me I was not making it correctly. Apparantly you have to pour the water on just before it boils. If you allow the kettle to get to boiling point it makes the tea bitter. You then have to leave it to brew for 2 minutes - no longer or it becomes bitter. It is quite a ritual but then I now love green tea. Especially if I am in a japanese restaurant eating sushiSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Thanks for that Cheri - it probably explains why mine sometimes comes out bitter. I shall try again later, following your instructions to the letter!

Cheery - what do you do about eggs? How do you make vegan pancakes and is there an egg substitute I can put in my fat free, dairy free and wheat free (and totally yummy) cherry and almond cake?
