:rotfl: I'M in the house, not the car! :rotfl: I couldn't get in the house til I'd got the car back as I'd attached the house keys to the car keys and left them with the garage :rotfl:

I'm surprised the garage didn't notice and hand you back the house keys!

House key is just a single old brass one - and as the keyring itself is a large ornate silver bracelet and a chain, I suspect they thought the key was part of the effect :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

(they think we're a little eccentric I believe) :rotfl:

And to be fair, They didn't know I was going home!

Feeling a little quiet this evening. Have an underlying feeling that I *should* be doing something useful, or at least something like darn Shred, but what I *want* to do is curl up on the sofa with a book and a blanket... So perhaps I'll do that instead :D

    Key sounds awesome!

Well, I did in fact fall asleep under a stripey blanket at 8.30, slept til Mr Daffs came back at 12, then went to bed and slept til 7am, then read until 8.30 :j So now feeling nicely calm and well rested :j :j

Working at home today. A nice day, a few bits and pieces to do. I'm also going to trot out for a mini fly round the charity shops with Mr Daffs this morning :T And after I've finished tonight I MUST repot that lettuce before it all dies! :o Sleepover tonight :D So want to have a quick tidy round, don't want cheery chatting sleepover vibes to be hampered by thoughts of housework :rotfl:

Well, we're getting somewhere with the PhD sign off (finally!!) :j :j

Spoke to the graduate research office this morning, they haven't received any forms yet. Internal said he was about to send them a couple of weeks ago, but I'd heard nothing since (and it wasn't clear whether they were going to ask me to make any more changes )

Anyway, did a bit of digging, and internal reckons he DID send the forms  (where on earth are they?!), but will send them again  Apparently the recommendation was 'pass with no changes' :j :j :j (with with the suggestion that I tidy up the references before submitting the final version - why on earth won't they understand that that WAS the final version, unless they specifically ask me to make more changes and give me more time?!)

Suffice to say that I WON'T be submitting another 'final version', the darn references can stay where they are, and the whole thing can rot in the back of the library shelves forever as far as I'm concerned :D :rotfl:

(be nice to have the forms finally signed and official though!)

Now then, I must confess to having ENTIRELY forgotten about letting NorthernLas etc know that I wasn't going to make the meet up (which I assume they've assumed, as I'm not there, and indeed had no idea where to meet them anyway :rotfl:) Ever so sorry :o I didn't realise I was going to have to be in Doncaster by 4pm, and everything got all higgledy piggledy :o Hope you had a lovely time! :D

WI this morning - much cheeriness, and I even went without a coat! :j :j :j Bargain of the day is a cheery blue t shirt (nothing exciting) for £1 and an old copy of Country Living for 50p :D Just got my home made bread out of the oven for lunch :D Back off for a quick round of the other charity shops in a minute :j :j (and I need a trowel! Goodness knows what's happened to both of mine, but I've been muddling along unsatisfactorily with a fork for TOO LONG! :rotfl:

Ooh, and I got on the scales this morning in Boots, and I've lost 5lbs in the last 2 weeks! :j :j That'll be all the eating properly and not stuffing in cakes then :rotfl: You see, they were right all along about that :rotfl:

Hi Cheery - As soon as you mentioned sleep overs earlier on, I decided that you had a better offer :)

Me and the FW family had a loverley lunch, followed by a stroll round the reservoir (taking in the football match and the play park) and finished off at the canal basin with ice-cream which was to die for!!! I think between us we sampled toffee & banana, chocolate, maybe strawberry and one other flavour ... shows how much notice I was taking that I can't even remember what flavours other people had ;)

Anyways a lovely afternoon had by all I think ...

NL, glad you had a lovely day meeting FW.

Cheery you bad lady and temptress you, I have had a look at those courses, they look really good. Is that where you are doing your photography one as well. Let me know how you get on with them. Maybe Pippi should do some online garden courses.

Cheery - If you'd said you needed a trowel (tsk, tsk), I have a collection, so I'm sure I could donate one your way!!!
