Daffy's 'a nice cup of tea cheers you up' diary

Cheery if it is only your first day of no tea then it is unusual for the headaches to have kicked in already. If you are a couple of days in then it is bound to be the detoxing/withdrawal symptoms.Stick with it, it will be worth it in the end. After all if you have tea today you will just get the headache again in a few days when you start again. Trust me I have been thereSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

Cheery if you are allowed the tea but not the milk, have you tried the tea MUCH weaker than you would usually have it?
I love my cuppa (which is what drew me to your diary in the 1st place :rotfl:) and drink it fairly strong. But if there is no milk (or it is yukky UHT) I can drink it black if I show the TBag the hot water.:j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -
Thanks for the tips :T Maty - I barely show my cuppa the teabag at the best of times :rotfl: :rotfl:
Cherisong - first proper day today, although ran out of milk last night so hadn't had a cuppa since yesterday afternoon  However, I would usually drink somewhere between 7 and 10 cups a day, so that's quite a lot of tea I'd missed in that period! Had a black earl grey, and actually headache went away pretty much straight away - no idea if caffiene related but I've been fine since! :T0 -
someone at work is also on a detox at the mo so she's having no sugar and caffine and she's had a terrible headache today and not felt with it at all.0

A blinding headache is usually a sign of caffeine withdrawal. And a lot of tiredness..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Forgot to mention I actually drink decaf tea nowadays unless I am out and about.
I tried them all and settled on typhoo as being the nicest cuppa after years of PG as my full caf tea of choice.
Z - You let me down, I came back to see what funny comment you could make about detoxing and you were being serious :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::j Proud Member of Mike's Mob :j0 -

ooooh cheery loving the new signature, me and you must be on the same wavelength as I randomly decided to go vegan over the weekend, (just whilst OH is away) so I will be joining you in your 30 day vegan challenge! Thanks for the lovely link will have a look in a minute.0

Well, I feel absolutely MARVELLOUS today I tell you! Sun's shining, I had a good 8 hours sleep and woke up spontaneously at 6.15, even had time for a shower before work, which almost NEVER happens :rotfl:, and I even remembered to bring ENORMOUS cardigan into work today so for once I'm warm in the office :rotfl: Didn't have any more caffiene after taht earl grey in the afternoon, and didn't have another headache. I'll see how today goes.0

Excellent! I have to admit that a vegan diet is under no circumstances whatsoever for me (for a start I have several pairs of leather shoes/boots that I am quite fond of!
) but each to their own! Good to hear that you've been full of the joys of spring today though, in any case! :T
