That's pretty much it for the no quibble days out Dedicated! :T It originated as weekends away - we'd both end up spending ages trying to find somewhere we both wanted to go, and messing about both trying to organise it, that eventually we decided that one of us would decide and organise, without trying to please the other one at all :rotfl: And the other one would just go, without quibbling
Works fabulous well, so well that we've extended it to days out too! :j :j
I'm glad I've inspired all this thinking about goals! :T :T Let me know how you're all doing! :T
Just got to work and made a cuppa, best go and make myself useful...0 -
Morning Squizz! I was struggling to think of what to call things, I like separating goals into areas of life that I want to concentrate on! Hooray for seedlings, must sort some out on Saturday and get growing! Will watch Alys Flowers again too0

These are lovely, Cheery, and I love the sound of a stable door for the front - I came across that in a hotel once, they delivered breakfast to your room and you were recommended to keep the bottom half locked - it felt very secure.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I particularly like those three categories, it just really nicely sums up areas of life that we all need to cover (whether the 'us' is a couple, or family or friends).
Our first pea had sprouted the other day and I ran round the kitchen shouting "peeeeeeeeeaaaaa!":rotfl:
Can't remember if I actually put my March goals on my diary, must check...Debt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0 -
Gosh you've got peas sprouting already?? I really must get a move on!
Our front door is actually our back door KC:rotfl: We use the back door mainly, the front door goes from the living room into the garden, and hasn't been opened for 20 years :rotfl: At the minute to get to the garden you have to go out of the back door, locking it behind you (Mr Daffs' ludicrous over-security measures, but we've never been burgled, so who am I to argue??), and walk round the other side of thehouse. Once the front door is open, I'll be able to sit in the living room with the door open or half open, and potter in and out til my heart's content :j :j

That sounds lovely Cheery. I like the sound of the 'no quibble' weekends. OH and I spend aaages trying to find somewhere we agree on and it's really annoying!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

Cheery - sorry to hijack your thread but I know a bit about composite doors which I want to share with Dedicated ... the composite ones are the ones that are difficult to break into and come in colours other than white.
Base price for a door is £395 - this is unfitted and for a full door without any windows or ornaments (letter box, handles etc). Once you add on fitting (and the door surround) , they charge anything from £700 - £1000. However, Mr NL has just had a door fitted at his (and also replaced some glass in is front window) and both fitters are self-employed and did a good job. There are manufacturers of said doors in Blackburn and Hazel Grove.

LOVE the idea of "No Quibble" days out!
Might well be implementing that one...
Your goals look great, and achievable! :T Mine so far are... have my hair cut. Get back into more exercise, and get all my work done!
Need to have a little look in my resolutions notebook when I get home.“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

New signature is ace and really cheery :TWeight loss: Start weight: 80kg; Current Weight: 77kg; Target weight: 55kg0 -
you're not hijacking NorthernLas, any info is welcome! :j As are you, of course
I'm certainly not planning on spending £700 on a door though  Current one is an interior door from a skip, been there for 20 years and slowly rotting from the bottom up - anything better than that will do me nicely:rotfl:
busy busy busy, 2 hour meeting this morning, lots to do, head fried, and very busy at work the next few days. Currently regrouping over an earl grey and a cherry bakewell tart :rotfl: :rotfl:
So - here for another 2 hours, and I've got this evening to myself :j :j :j Saturday is a pottering day, thankfully! :T :T Sunday is our no quibble day out - apparently it's going to involve bicycles! That'll be two weekends in a row! :j :j
Monday and Tuesday I'm at work (although Tuesday I'll be spending the entire afternoon in a tea shop, so I can't really complain :rotfl: :rotfl:) Wednesday I'm off to Manchester for a course, then Thursday I'm going to London with my mum for a couple of days :j
Don't think I'm going to do much at all tonight...0
