:rotfl: squizz, that's exactly what it was like :rotfl:
Yep Pickle, that's pretty much what we're like! :rotfl:
Ah squizz, how exciting! Perhaps we should set up a 'scared of tooting' club:rotfl: :rotfl:
busy busy here, but the sun's shining and I've got a cuppa, so everything is ok :j :j Did some goal planning on the train this morning, will do some more tonight and might share it with you... xx0 -

Well, here I am, back with a little list of goals for March :j :j I've got some 3 month ongoing goals to be met by the end of April, so these will feed into those. I intended these as a draft, but actually we're already on the 2nd March, so I'd best just get on with them! :rotfl: Some of them are pretty easily achievable - hooray! :j :j
Home
* new towels (just one or two need replacing, we only have 4!)
* finish sorting out boxes in the attic
* make (or rather get Mr Daffs to make :rotfl:) new desk
* get prices for plastering the bedroom ceiling
* get lovely new stable front door and replace old rotting interior MDF door that hasn't been opened for 20 years :eek:
Garden
* move compost bin
* start seedlings! :j :j
* fill in path (this will require much head scratching and possibly people stronger than me)
* figure out how to do fence (actually *doing* it will probably spill into April)
Health
* run 3x a week
* pilates and shred
Money
* total of £1000 to Palace Fund :T :T
* stick to budget
For me
* online workshop
* jive dancing! (just once will do!)
* add one thing to nice underwear collection
* put date in diary for trapeze lesson
For us
* one No Quibble day out (this Sunday! :T)
* one No Quibble half day out
For everyone
* make decision on charity thing
* one LETS swap
* meet with transitions group
So, there we have it :T :T A nice varied list of things to keep me going, some actual things I want to get to the end of, some things that I'll be glad if I just do a bit of (jive, pilates etc). Very exciting!
Anyone else got goals for March? Or ongoing ones from earlier?0 -
Look - I sorted out my exciting new signature and everything! :j :j Decided it would be nice to see things going UP in there for a change :rotfl: :rotfl: So I've got the emergency fund, which I'm adding £100 to every month (and which I had to pay £16.50 for the dentist out of :rotfl:), but hopefully should otherwise be left alone.
I've also put the Palace Fund, because it's cheery :rotfl: I've added £400 to that this month, and I'll do the same at the end of March (plus an extra £30 for the sake of completeness :rotfl:), and then I'll leave it at that. That's going to pay for the new front door, plus fitting, the replastering of the bedroom ceiling, a couple of little bits and pieces, and possibly putting a skylight in the entrance thing :T
The patchwork life fund is just that - my cheery longer term savings to enable me to have a lovely cheery patchwork life once my job runs out in 2 years time. I don't want to be forced into something full time that I don't like, in fact I don't want to be forced into something full time at all! So a bit of a back up patchwork life fund to enable me to have a bit of a gap between jobs if that's how it works out, or to take something that's only 2 days a week for a while, or whatever. I'll add £400 a month to this, plus extras from months with only 4 weeks in, etc, and the plan is to get to £10,000 before my contract runs out (December 2012) :eek:
I've also got a holiday fund, and a car maintenance fund, blah blah, but they weren't exciting enough to make it onto the signature :rotfl:0 -

I'm concerned that if you advertise that, you will gt a load of people who have "issues" over certain bodily functions, and a load more of slightly nervous types from South-West London!
Glad the party well well - and hurrah to cheery goals and savings funds! You've made me think about setting some goals - I did, didn't I, back in January, perhaps I should go and find them and see how I've done!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Well you've inspired me to think about my goals for March.
I really want to sort out my bedroom. At the moment it is full of boxes and stuff and isn't the gorgeous, glamorous sanctuary that I envisage.
I have now ordered the lightfitting I like and am going to pick it up tomorrow from BHS (incidentally they have lovely towels and often good value in the Blue Cross sales that they often have...check them out, can't speak highly enough of their homewares)
So I think I should resolve to get rid of a certain number of boxes (maybe 2?)
And also do a mood board ready with my ideas and swatches and things!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills :eek:
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
Hi Cheery
Great news on your goals :T If it is not too cheekycould i ask if you find a good priced door if you could let me know the details? Have needed a new one since moving and its on my list of Home items to sort out :cool:
Am intrigued by your no quibble days too - is this where 1 of you chooses a day out to go on and the other agrees? *insert confused head scratching smiley*CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Morning Cheery!
I really like your 'For Me, For Us, For Everyone' categories. It is exciting about seedlings.. I've already started a few things on the windowsill and stocked up on seeds for the year - making a good start on the garden is definitely one of the goals for MarchDebt@16.12.09 £10,362.38, now debt free as of 29.02.2012."I cannot make my days longer so I strive to make them better."0
