    Thanks Squizz :)

And no - it's not much comfort that lots of them aren't back from their holidays! :rotfl: I *know* my two are back, or at least should be...

    <yawn>

Gosh I'll be mightily glad when this is all over and done with - pah!

What a pain these last few months are! Good idea not to tire yourself out, and change to another chapter. And what a great week you've got coming up - promise yourself to enjoy it.

Good idea to stick to working hours for the writing Cheery. Treat it as a job. Keep your home life separate and you should be able to keep stress free that way.
Are you excited about starting the new work project?

Very excited cheri! :j :j It's a nice challenge for me - I'll be without the lovely colleague who I've worked with for the last 6 months (I still share an office with her, and she still works on my existing project), so I'll be kind of on my own for a lot of things. My current line manager is overseeing the new project, as she does with my existing one, which is nice, because I like her, and she likes me :D And there's another woman in the middle - she's not long been moved up a grade, and it's her first project that she's in charge of, so a challenge for us all I think! Very exciting though :T

Mr DAffs just came back and made me a cuppa :j :j and had a nice chat with me and calmed me down a bit :o Going to carry on for another couple of hours working on a different chapter, then stop for pancakes and a cheery evening of not-very-muchness :D

Sounds like a lovely and excellent evening planned.

I can understand your frustrations so probably is a good idea to move onto a new chapter with some fresh eyes.

Good luck in getting your supervisors to give you comments back promptly!

And how exciting about your new job!:j
I've got my own flat :j:j

Ok, confession time - turns out the emailed me comments on 16th December :rotfl: but to my university account (which they NEVER use - so I'm kind of justified not finding them :rotfl: kind of :rotfl:) :D

    Right, I'm stopping now :T :T

I can't say I've achieved all I wanted to today, because I haven't :o However, I've got a good few things done, and I started the day well, and did some exercise, and spent some time with Mr Daffs :T I haven't eaten very well mind you, but that's what happens when I get wound up :o

So, PhD-wise I'm all prepared for tomorrow, I've read the comments I found (eventually :rotfl:) and I have a to do list, with timings, all set to go (I actually wrote it while I was on holiday in a bid to stop my brain whirring round - it worked :rotfl:)

Mr Daffs is in the bath, and I've got probably an hour, maybe a little longer, while he soaks and pampers himself :D So, how will I spend it?? Don't want to let it *all* go just drifting around MSE, as cheery as that is! :rotfl: Trying to learn to use little bits of time productively, especially seeing how much I got done in 15 mins this morning! :T

So - shoes and coat on, and I'm going to pop out for some milk (we really do need our own cow, I swear :rotfl:) I'll ring my sister on the way - haven't talked to her for a while, and we need to plot an Online Exercise Challenge (we have a shared spreadsheet, last time for number of situps, that we can both add to - a little competition does the world of good... :rotfl:). Then I'll set the timer, and have 15 minutes of tidying downstairs - Mr Daffs took the Christmas tree down earlier, so I'll probably put the decorations away in the cellar, and the cards in the recycling, bring the rest of my holiday packing upstairs etc.

Then I'll have a pancake or two, because that's a cheery thing to do for tea :D Cheese and mushroom I think :j :j

And then I'll sit down with the online banking and work out what I've got to spend in January - I DID have it all worked out, and I had all my holiday money put aside, and I stuck to it, but then I paid for a few things out of the bank instead of with the cash I had in my puse (ferry bookings etc) and it all got a bit higgledy piggledy - needs sorting out! New budget starts in 3 weeks and 3 days :j :j :j (PhD will be done by then too   but I'll think about the new budget instead cos that's more exciting :rotfl:)

Right then - sleeves rolled up and get to it woman rather than waffling on here! :rotfl:

I LOVE your idea of the little A5 book of goal-thoughts! I have an A5 diary for mine and also use it for my 'ta da' lists but it is far too large to carry around. I do have a notebook in my handbag (it's a bit like Mary Poppin's) but don't use it much. It definitely helps to mull them over though :)
