It's very satisfying having finished a day's slog

Just finally remembered to do my meter readings - we swapped a few months back and they've been estimating ever since. Not far off
We've used a bit less electric and a bit more gas than they guessed, but should work out similar anyway with any luck! :T 0 -
I luuuuuurve your pics Daffs - very cheery indeed! :T
Well done on the meter readings too - one of the things I'm trying to do is remember to take them at the beginning of each month so that I can keep an accurate track of useage over the year.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Hey daffs, I'm glad you are plodding on and overcoming your panicy feelings, you really have got this year off to a really good start. I love the notebook idea, but worry that someone (mainly OH) might find it and knowing what I'm like with writing random comments just generally, would think I was totally insane!!! I love nice stationery to make myself feel better, always seems to brighten things up, so a nice notebook might be just what I need!
Keep going and keep smiling, love your positive and problem solving attitude the new year has bought.

you're better than me Cheery, i usually float the idea of taking readings for a week before i actually get around to it. It's the resident spider that puts me off0

I too am going to pinch the goals in a book idea.
In fact my first goal will be to work out my goals and find a suitable notebook (no need to buy one, I've a collection of stationery to rival paperchase...:o) to carry round.
I spend quite a bit of time on public transport and that will be perfect for all those times I'm stuck on a bus or a train somewhere. :j
Did you find the supervisor comments before you sent a snotty email chasing for them??? Fingers crossed for before!!I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction

Not better at all LT, in fact much worse, we changed suppliers several months back and this is the first timei've sent them a reading! :rotfl:
(and makeup, yes I found it before sending snotty email :rotfl:)0 -
Morning Daffs! Wellies and WI is your morning, I think .... hope its all going nicely.
I used to use a book to write in all the time, as makeup said on public transport its a real gift to be able to use the time constructively - I used to keep everything tho, for 20 years and more  which is why I've done so much shredding this last year
2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
very nicely indeed KC, thanks

Seem to have spent a fortune this morning  but all on cheery things
£16.50 on wellies
(a bargain I thought), £6 on presents for 3 nephews, plus some 70% reduced Oxfam mini gifts for stashing away
Oh, and finally treated myself to a Venus razor - been slicing myself with cheapo ones for years - completely false economy! Got a bargain though - in Boots the actual razors were £6.63, and came with 3 cartridges, but I got a 'teen starter pack' containing a razor, two cartridges, and a shave gel (and a book about how to shave - could do with that!) for £5.10 :j :j :j
Anyway, phd for the rest of the day now, although might pop out in my new wellies for a stomp in the mud later - so far they've only been to the WI and the charity shops (and for a photo shoot in the street :rotfl: :rotfl:)

Hi Cheery et al!
Just dropping in to say Hi and I'm still reading, had a few days poodling about and not going on the internets but at the computer supposedly doing an assignment... so MSE forums have been thoroughly caught up on!
Sounds like your plans are well sorted, how do you do it?! I tend to start great new systems and then flounder, and start another new system to organise the old one, and so on and so on, so nothing ever really gets sorted! (Do have some firm resolutions this year though :j)“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”
