Your little light was still green when I posted! Honest!
*feels rather guilty and hurriedly takes slap back* :rotfl:
And that sounds like an excellently productive couple of hours! :j
I tried to have lunch and a cuppa with Mr Lotti, but he is thoroughly immersed in the latest rented game... bless. Trouble is, I like it too and want him to stop playing for a bit so I can play instead!
Still, work to finish so shouldn't start playing silly games until after that...
So what is being done in this remodelling of the kitchen?“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Goodness knows Lotti! :rotfl: I'll wait and see

Right then, Mr Daffs has gone out for a couple of hours, so I'm trying to work out what to fit in! :T :T
I think I'd like the focus to be on making sure the week ahead goes smoothly
I've got lots to do, PhD-wise, but also I'll be visiting family after work on Friday (for a party) and staying on Saturday to deliver presents, so I've got to make sure they're all ready! There's a couple of small things I need to make (and I suspect there's one or two things I've entirely forgotten about...). I also need to get ready for work tomorrow, and plan what needs doing on the PhD, what I can take on the train, what I can do in the evenings etc...
So, I'm thinking (in no particular order)...
* plan PhD work for the week - decide what needs doing each day, decide what needs taking on the train for the next 3 days
* go through Christmas presents list - wrap and label what I have, and list what I still need to get and make - decide when to get/make things and put in the diary (might be more effective trying to make on the train than work? not sure yet)
* shower and wash hair
* make pancakes to take for lunch tomorrow
* get clothes and bag ready for tomorrow, polish shoes
* sit down with budget - seem to have spent more this week than I could have done with spending so have to make sure it doesn't get out of hand!
* package book ready to post to friend tomorrow
Sounds like a plan to me! :j :j Challenge is to do it in 2 hours...0 -
Goodness - sounds like a busy evening planned! In case I don;t "see" you about later - hope your launch into full time work tomorrow goes well.

Thanks EH

Quite a successful evening :j :j
- phd work planned for week, and stuff for train working tomorrow organised and in bag :T
- hair washed :T
- Christmas presents wrapped, and list made of things still to buy (only a couple, mostly food related so can be done in evening :T) and to make (very simple, and not many)
- book wrapped to post to friend tomorrow
- lunch sorted
So - just need to polish shoes, and we're done for tonight! :T :T Budget still needs sorting, but that can be done tomorrow
Not a bad evening I don't think! :T
I must say I'm not relishing the prospect at having to get up at 6.30 tomorrow :rotfl: :rotfl: I've not been at work since 16th December, that's more than 3 weeks! :rotfl: :rotfl: So I suspect it'll come as a bit of a shock, especially since I have to be there all week :rotfl:
Still, I'm sure I can manage
Might be on here a little less though :rotfl: 0 -
I think you might! And I agree, that was an incredibly productive evening.
Best of luck for work tomorrow.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Thanks KC :T Just squeezed in a quick bit of online banking - and found that I'd had some expenses paid from before Christmas - £25! :T So that sorts out the little blip I had earlier in the week (including the wellies :rotfl:) and means budget is all fine and on track

(can't wait for new budget though, starting 31st Jan :T But I'm trying not to wish it too much closer, because the PhD's got to be done before then :rotfl:)
Best go to bed I suppose!0 -
