Ooh, grand website Pippi, thanks! :T I've been looking at it (not that I've been obsessively checking BBC news, weather, railway websites, traffic websites or anything :rotfl:) but didn't realise I could look at the cameras too! :T Was laughing - some of them are just a big white blur!

RIGHT.
THAT'S IT.
I hereby pledge to STOP looking at !!!!in travel info sites and investigating Plan B, C, F, H, Q and Z, until the end of next week. I'm spending far too much time doing it!
Anyway
Since this is a money-related website, and since I've already worked it out..
Plan A: Drive to Gill's bay (near Wick), plus return ferry = £312
Plan B: Drive to Aberdeen, return ferry = £425
Plan C: Train to Thurso, return ferry = £385
Plan
Train to Aberdeen, return ferry = £285
Still think the original plan is the best one
But I can't do anything about it right now anyway! (might even start investigating flights at this rate - fly over the snow :rotfl: But I'm guessing I'd still have to get as far as Edinburgh at least!)
Anyway, internet connection broke for an hour or so there, so I actually got some phd done :rotfl: Came back on again about 30 seconds before my timer went off :rotfl:
What did I miss??

Plan Z is to stay at home
(Plan Y is to walk :rotfl: Only 540 miles to the ferry! :rotfl:)
Beanielou - S......nd? Southend? Nah - Scotland of course! Off to Pippi-land (for the fifth time, although all the other times I didn't know it was Pippi-land, so this one's special)
Sooooo excited

Anyway, thought Mr Daffs might not come back again tonight, but he is :j :j Should be back soon
So all the washing up is done, the stray clothes are picked up (don't want to ruin his good impression of me, after all :rotfl:), I have some nutmeg and orange Christmassy smells wafting around, and Christmas music on, and all is nice and peaceful

If you have to change from gills bay to the other company - you (and the car if YOU drive) will get 10% discount - same for your ticket from the aberdeen way - Mr Daffs won't get it - but if you book you and car by phone tell them you're a student and you'll get 10% off your ticket and the car ticket - which will add up
(sorry if you already know this)
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
:money:Sleeves up folks.:money:0 -
Yep - as I know to my cost, you can overplan these things
hopefully Mr Daffs coming back after all has stopped you. Cheery, wasn't it you saying you'd seen the meteor? There's lots of online news about it today. The Geminids, next week, sound like they're going to be really good. 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Lol Beanielou! :rotfl: Nope - Orkney
Stil Scotland though
Cheers Pippi! :T Nope, didn't realise that :T That'll make a nice bit of a discount :T
(anyway, broke my promise and we looked at the flybe website yesterday - Flight there was £80 for the two of us, back £96 I think. All sounding good (although still have to get to Edinburgh!), except when I selected the two, it somehow added them up to £727 :rotfl: Hmm - a glitch in the system perhaps??!! (not flying anyway unless absolute dire emergency!)
Anyway, I said I wasn't going to think about that
Wibbling and wobbling here today
Everything feels a little overwhelming, so overwhelming I struggled to get out of bed
Mr Daffs great, brought me tea, listened to me wibbling, and found me cheery guinea pig video on youtube
Up and about, and have had a shower and breakfast now, and about to have a quick walk in the snow to settle my nerves, then set to it.
Decorations going up tonight - I need something to look forward to today!
