How stupid is that restaurant. What happens if somebody is vegetarian? Also what if somebody has allergies. I would tell them they are being silly!!!
Wow stars on the way to work TOO early!

They have offered us a vegetarian option Cheri, so they're not all bad ;) They also say they'll adapt for allergies with sufficient notice - I did wonder about saying 7 people have an allergy to turkey, 3 to pork, 4 to salmon :rotfl: but then remembered I had work to do and this wasn't really a priority... :rotfl:

Well, I set my timer, and by the time it went off I'd washed hair, sorted tomorrow's breakfast, made one pancake, and was well on the way with the second one :T All done now (and I'm afraid I let the side down and whizzed it with a hairdryer, I was just so cold :rotfl:)

Curled up on the sofa now :D

What a bizarre thing for the restaurant to do! You sound like you were very organised last night - better than what I did which was to wash my hair this morning, not have time to dry it, and find it had frozen by the time I got to work :rotfl:

I've done that before Squizz! :rotfl: It's just that if I'm organised the night before, I only have to get out of bed ten minutes before I need to leave - and that's very important! :D

    Evening
Sorry VL, missed you there yesterday, must have been posting at the same time! :T Glad you've come out into the open, the more the merrier :D (and special brownie points to you for thinking this thread is inspirational :j I sure find it inspirational to post here! :j) (Oh, and PhD is a general social sciencey-type-thing, about values and behaviour - I'm really not the best person to ask right now as I'm thoroughly sick to death of the entire thing and would probably just recommend steering well clear! :D)

    Thanks! No worries :)

I need brownie points, yay! I was very good yesterday and didn't eat anything except dinner (all home made too) - my ain is to be less lazy and get things done. Starting with not comfort eating and putting one thing on ebay per day (have about 20 things to get rid of, all of which I photographed and put in envelopes aaages ago...).

Hopefully when you're a 'Dr' it'll all be worth it - last mention I promise!! :A

Quite right VL, here's to a cheery attitude :T :T

Good plan on the ebaying :T I've got a load of amazon stuff needs to go on, could do with doing it before Christmas, I'm in by myself tonight, so I think I'll take just FIVE books downstairs and make a start :T Five is manageable - the whole pile is overwhelming! :rotfl:

Been out since 7am, and just got back in, Mr Daffs out so no heating on, so I'm in the process of warming up, ambling round the diaries, then I'm going to get myself snuggled up on the sofa with PJs and hot water bottle :D:D

I have been very good today, done all of my Ta Da list except find my rug (as I realised this would help my cold feet!) but I have tried and it'll have to wait until I have time to have my "shove everything in here" cupboard out!

Def. need manageable chunks in all things to do! :j

I'm hoping I'm not cross posting too much but if anyone is looking for a way of making extra cash next year, the census is running in Eng & Wales and they're recruiting census takers for approx 6 weeks in March / April next year. Pays £10 an hour plus bonuses and you can do hours to fit in around full time work (ie evenings & weekends). I've applied online - just google census jobs 2011 (think the site is censusjobs.co.uk ???) and you can just sign up with answering a few questions (easy) and then they email a link for an online assessment.

I need to clear some debts next year and this will be one way of doing it - assuming I get the job of course!!!!

Sounds like things are going well Cheery and how annoying about the dinner. I totally understand about doing a restricted menu (ie 3 options per course) but to just one option per course??? ridiculous.

Still at least your having a Xmas do - so far ours looks like it isnt' happening
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)
