I suspect we'll have a similar situation Squizz! :rotfl: They seem to have closed snake pass, woodhead pass, parts of the parkway, M18 and M1, and there's no trains to Manchester, liverpool, Nottingham, Hull, Leeds, or even Rotherham it seems! So we're stuck within walking distance for the duration. Good job I don't have to be anywhere til Tuesday :rotfl: And it's still snowing!

Oh dear, just got togged up to go into the garden and take some pictures, opened the front door to find a wall of snow :rotfl: 9.5 inches deep according to my metre stick :rotfl: :rotfl: So took some pictures of that instead and came back inside :rotfl:

What a sensible Cheery Daffs you are! Snowing here too, quite hard, but not reached that level yet ... I'm dreading that it does. I really need to go to London on Friday, and I'm coming back lateish as usual ... gulp.

Scribbling away here, and the snow is still falling...

And Mr Daffs is insisting on going to Doncaster regardless... Fortunately on the train! They're apparently still running to there, so he should be ok. I have warned of the dangers of getting stuck on said train without heating, of not being able to get back again (he's not coming back til tomorrow anyway) and having to spend the rest of the week snowed in in Doncaster, but to no avail.... :rotfl: Will stop nagging now, and practice not saying 'I told you so' just in case (although fingers crossed everything will be fine!)

    Back to work...

hope Mr Daffs get to and from Donny safely.
We've still got snow here but it's a clear day and the wind is blowing the snow off the trees. I was quite surprised today that i didn't even have to scrape off my car!

hope the PhDing goes well, keep wrapped up and warm.

    That's impressive LT!

Mr Daffs just left, all togged up. Supposed to be coming back tomorrow - I'm sure he'll make it, but I imagine he's not going to be in the best of moods!

Ah well. So now I have the house to myself :D Bit more work, some hoovering/tidying while it's still light (this house is full of, er, atmospheric lighting rather than useful lighting :rotfl: Nice to relax in and for romantic evenings in :D but entirely useless for hoovering/finding things :rotfl:). Then I'm going to pop out in the snow to take a few pics :D and to get some milk, and a few treats of course, because you can't *not* have treats in this weather :D

Then back in for the rest of the night, snuggled up warm...

    :D

Well, in 45 mins I washed the dishes, cleaned the kitchen, hoovered kitchen, living room, bathroom, bedroom, cleaned bathroom, put clothes away in bedroom, did washing, dusted kitchen and living room (!), cleaned mirrors, and emptied all the bins (which involved a neighbour helping me lift the lid on the wheelie bin :rotfl:)

In the process of putting the rubbish out, I decided that 'a nice walk' would in fact be a huge fiasco - so decided to stay in :D

Well - at least until I've finished working for the day. Then I might get togged up and venture out, knowing I could get straight into PJs with a hot water bottle when I come back in! :rotfl: Watch this space... :rotfl:

Mr Daffs left about 2.30, and still no word that he's arrived in Doncaster yet... hope he's just forgotten to ring!

Finally spoke to Mr Daffs after texting his friend to see if he'd got there yet :rotfl: of course he had - was too busy drinking tea and chatting to ring me - sounds about right! :rotfl:

Now - let's see if this snowy photo works...
