Don't mind at all georgiegirl! :j Lovely to have some new faces around the place :j Especially if they like a nice cup of tea :D

Walk done and dusted, came home with sausages - supposedly to go with yorkshire puds but they've turned into pancakes instead :D:D

Love it that you're training the hens - we were wondering what we'd do if one of them ran away! :rotfl: Hopefully they'll all be nicely obedient by the time we get there :D

Pippi - bit of a mad question, but do you have a tv??! Not that we're planning to spend all the time we're there sat in front of Christmas repeats! :rotfl: More like chasing naughty chickens by the sounds of it! :D

    Rght - sausages.

Gosh, I'm making a right meal out of this writing today  Just like the bad old days!

Trying soooo hard not to beat myself up about it, because that really doesn't help me move on at all.

So, I've revised my goals for the day into something more manageable, since I'm struggling so much. Instead of trying to get chapter 6 finished AND the whole of chapter 7 done, I'm aiming to have chapter 6 finished. That's it. Anything over and above that is a bonus. I really don't have long to go, but I also don't want to be sitting here for anything longer than another hour really, as I've got other stuff I want to do this evening, and I'm on the early train tomorrow, so leaving the house at 6.20am

So, head down for another hour, get this chapter finished, then stop, and go and potter about instead. I'll take the paper copy of my thesis with me on the train tomorrow and Tuesday - that gives me an extra 4 hours to scribble all over the next two chapters and get them into some semblance of order before rewriting on the computer on Wednesday.

Not ideal - but sitting here at 6pm telling myself I need to finish this chapter AND write a whole other one is even less idea! :o

So - head down, I'll see you in an hour :T

And now it's time for a nice cup of tea I reckon! :coffee: and to give myself a bit of a stern talking to :o And to make some Christmas cards! :D

    Hello Cheery

Sounds like a good weekend. We've no snow down here but the weather forecast is predicting some for Tuesday.

I hope the plans come off ok for Christmas, I think you're gonna have a wonderful time.

I went to Rocky Horror last night, so much fun and I didn't spend too much on my outfit (I went as columbia), £5 on a gold top hat and a red bow tie and then £5 on a wig. I already had a sparkly boob tube and I customised a pair of black shorts with some ribbons that I had and I have tap shoes as I do tap dancing classes.

My friends dressed up as well and we had such a great time!

Spent way tooo much on wine though.....my social life is definitely my downfall (well, that and holidays....)
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Sounds like an excellent night Makeup! :T :T

No snow overnight at home, left home at 6.15, slid all the way downhill to the station, train journey was gorgeous, gradually getting lighter as the snow got heavier and heavier :rotfl: Took me an hour to walk from the station to work at this end, then 5 mins before I got here work rang to say our big meeting this afternoon is cancelled, and if that's all I was coming for not to bother! Nice idea - 3 hours too late sadly! :rotfl:

Office mate fallen down the stairs, meeting cancelled, nothing for it but to fill the teapot, whack up the radiator, and plough through some of that stuff you put off doing cos you're always too busy doing something else :D

(oh,and lunch with a friend, and I'm booked onto the 6.25 train so I might sneak off early for a little Christmas shopping!) :D
  • Oh dear that was a bit of a trek to work! I guess it started snowing here after you left then :)

    Keep cosy!

Yes Squizz, it wasn't snowing at all at home when I left! I guess it's snowing now though...

Just had email confirming that only my internal examiner will be reading my revised thesis - hooray! :j :j

And I got a good hour or so of work on it done on the train in this morning :j :j

And someone's brought in cake for coffee time :j :j

So the day's shaping up nicely! :rotfl:

What a journey Cheery. Hope you are nicely thawed out by the tea.

Glad you have alternative plans for the journey at Christmas. I really like the sound of duvets and hot water bottles in the back of the van. Quite cosy indeed.
