hope you have a great time tomorrow on your course.
My fav. colour pen when making comments on things is green. It's not sparkly but i think green is such a nicer colour than red or black, not that i dislike those colours as i wear them all the time but... i have to admit that i hate blue pens.
what a sad random comment that is, i wonder what it says about me.0 -
It *is* lovely isn't it KC? :j :j
EH - you're right! We *did* talk about saying yes to things your first thought is to say no toNot always of course - sometimes instinct is right  :rotfl: But certainly examining your motives for saying no and seeing if they're the kinds of ones you want to encourage...
Chapter looking better already, but still lots to do! Just had lunch and cheery chat with Mr Daffs (conclusion: we're both very wise :rotfl:), and now back up in the attic... I WILL get this chapter finished today, I WILL! :j :j
And I WILL also do some preparation so that I can start the next one on the train to Leeds tomorrow! :j :j0 -
LT - doesn't say anything about you at all! I must confess to not liking writing with black pens :rotfl: Unless they're proper, nice gel pens - but NO to black biros! Green is ok, but again not with a biro
Blue ordinary pens are fine - gel pens are cheery (although I can't write much with them, more for editing than writing for me)
I don't think it's linked to personality!(hope not anyway! :rotfl:)

Ah, see, we've all crawled out of the woodwork with our bizarre arbitrary pen likes/dislikes now LT, you're not alone!

Aha, a plan is forming! :j :j
Do you know what else there is in Leeds, other than this cheery course and lots of cheery MSE-ers, of course?
A branch of La Senza, and a branch of Bravissimo! :j :j :j :j And they're just around the corner from each other! :j :j :j
So I will be able to pop into Bravissimo, get measured properly, and have a mooch around in there, then return bras to La Senza, see what they actually measure me as, check out a couple in there (I'm not holding out much hope, I must confess, but will have to at least return mine for the money back, and it'll be interesting to see what they *do* measure me as), then head back to Bravissimo to buy something that actually FITS! :j :j :j :j
Bra Quest is on!:j :j
(interestingly, I just did the measuring round the ribs/bust thing that everyone used to do, and now nobody does - there's a table on the La Senza website. It had me down as a 36C! So in the past week I've been measured at 36C, 36E, 32FF, 32GG, and tried on various combinations of all of the above from various shops, none of which have fit properly!)
Anyway, MUST stop being distracted! Head down - chapter!0 -
Cheery that is fabulous news. It is not borrowing from yourself either it is investing in yourself. Think of it like the student loan stuff. You often get that up front and pay it off later. In this case its just the other way round, either way an investment. MG is also making an investment because once you have been you can "sell" the course for her by talking about it.
EH - you are very right but I still fall for it every time. Love the asking to repeat the question. I do that in interviews but never thought of it in personal life. I might try that one.
LT - how bizarre! I love making comments in green pen rather than red. I find that people accept it much more. My favourite friends I am afraid are fountain pens. I love to write a really nice letter to people with a fountain pen (cant find mine at the moment though)
right less diversionary tactics. Taking a leaf out of your book Cheery and going back to work. By the way, the turnaround in your attitude to the PHD is immense. I am so pleased to see you being much more positive. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. I have been measured in both John Lewis and Debenhams, they both did the measurement as immediately under the bust (ribs) and then across the middle. The fitting was then the rib size and the cup was dependant on the difference. So my measurement was 30 (rib) and 35 bust equates to (in both shops) 30 or 32 DD (not sure how they get to that one!) so either size fits. It has worked every time so far but I have to admit to investing in more expensive bras these days which probably helps. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons.
