Wow, Cheery, you've been really busy indeed. And hurrah for going on the course today! Bet you will find it really helpful!
With my two pennorth on the bra issue, a couple of friends have been to Rigby & Peller in London which is vv.vv. expensive and fancy bra shop. They don't measure you, they just look and they know!!!! And if it still doesn't fit, they will alter to fit you!!! One friend went for her wedding underwear and another for a strapless corset thing for when she was a bridesmaid. However you are looking at about 80 or more!!!
I do find Triumph quite good - although not very glam. But good for under t-shirts etc with smooth lines which I like a lot. My parents live near a McArthur Glen outlet village and they have a Triumph shop and I've picked up bras for less than a fiver there. Any outlet shopping near you?? They have so many sizes, not just the normal ones and so plenty to try on.
Thanks for your comments about my last post. Taka is right, was referring to Acute Mountain Sickness (aka altitude sickness). I wasn't bad with it but can be fatal. Just hard to breathe with any kind of exercise and a bit of a headache.
Had a fab time and I'm now back in kathmandu, happily having had a shower and now have clean clothes, which is the most amazing luxury!!
We spent the past few days reading books, chilling out, a bit of shopping (not quite as bargainous as I'd hoped) and visiting a few sites.
My friend has been sick today so not sure what I'll do, maybe head off myself this afternoon for a short trip.
Tomorrow we leave early for a Pokhara which is on the lakes and should be very chilled. We have three nights there and then go to the Royal Chitwan National Park which is a safari area - we're staying inside the lodge and will go on elephant treks, walks into the park etc etc. We should see rhino and other wildlife and if we're really lucky, tigers!
Next SAturday I come home.......I've got my own flat :j:j
Now I have to pay the bills
And feed my interiors addiction0 -
makeup, thanks for posting again - it just sounds so completely fantastic, tho sorry your friend is poorly.
Interesting what you say about bras tho - for me too, a smooth look is essential, as I wear lots of plain t shirts. Triumph. I'll have a look.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Makeup - hooray! Sounds like you're having a great time! :j And Rhinos! Tigers! Wow! :j :j :j
As for today - a shaky start with me buying a ticket for the wrong train station, resulting in having to pay an extra £2.20, which I was unreasonably cross about :rotfl: Then a delayed train, making me late.
But a FABULOUS course, had an excellent day, lovely to meet MG, and DT, and tescodealqueen, and firewalker and mr firewalker, and helen, and Triker, and lots of other lovely tolk too! :j :j
Then, fabulous cakes by Ann :j :j
Then I left them all to it to pop back to Leeds for a little bra shopping - one word....
BRAVO!
:j :j :j :j
30G in Bravissimo, 34G in La Senza, but replaced the two I bought off the internet from La Senza, got a new one from Bravissimo, and I'm home, warm, and well fed, and happy0 -

Well, tell them that their staff were fabulous, changing rooms stylish and sumptuous, and the whole thing marvellously enjoyable and they will be my number one bra shopping choice from now on0 -
Well, here I am in my new bra
Cleavage and everything! Will take some getting used to I think, but it feels great! :j (oops, best not do too much of that! :rotfl:)
Tried on a few clothes on top of new bras today, and realised just what a shabby state a lot of my clothes are in too! Not all of them, but I certainly have a dearth of decent tops, and the couple that I do have are starting to go round the edgesHmm...
Anyway, underwear fund is exhausted for the time being, so not going to think about it much
Today, I took firewalker's advice from yesterday, and got up early and started writing FIRST before doing anything else :T Well, I didn't take *all* of her advice - she said to get up at 7am and write for 4 hours - I started at 8.30 and wrote for twoBut hey, it's my first day, and it's Sunday morning for goodness sake
Still, that's two hours done before 10.30, how utterly excellent! :T
She also said it wasn't reasonable to do more than 4 hours of writing a day, and it was best to get them out of the way first, so that's what my aim's going to be. And she said to allow one day of complete rest a week (oh, and do some exercise, particularly on that day, but also walking etc on the working days - which I generally do anyway but could do with being more 'best foot forward' and less ambling...)
So - the current plan is 2 days a week work, 1 day a week off completely (usually Saturday I think, that's when I land up messing around most anyway), and 4 days of PhD - each with 4 hours of writing first thing in the morning, then the rest of the day for other PhD-related tasks, and general life things :j
Partly it feels like if I'm done by lunch time I should be doing more :rotfl: But actually, I wouldn't usually do even four hours of writing even if I stared at the computer for the whole day  and this way at least it's done and I can concentrate on other things! :T
So, I've had a little snack, and a cuppa, and a chat to Mr Daffs (and showed off my new cleavage :rotfl: :rotfl: - poor man was just trying to eat his breakfast :rotfl: :rotfl:)
Heading back up the attic in a second to do my second two hours, and then I'll be done for the day!
Then - some exercise, some proper eating, some 50 day challenge planning (Christmas presents - eek!), then we've got people (or in reality, possibly just one person :rotfl:) coming round later, so need to do a bit of tidying up :T
Oh, and some ceremonial bra burning(although Mr Daffs has suggested there's something else we must be able to do with them - tea cosies anyone??? :rotfl:)
