Really glad that you have managed your four hours today cheery and congrats on the new bras too:j
Glad to see you have been following MGs advice and taken breaks. Good too that you have realised that getting the work done early works so much better and instead of spending all day dreading starting you have the rest of the day for me time

Thanks DT
And yes, beanielou, they were most pleased with themselves! :T :T
Just had the most bizarre argument, I'm still not entirely sure what it was about, although we both appear to be seething
<sigh>
Ah well, onwards and upwards - online banking then <yawn>0 -
Hi Cheery, I am subscribed to your diary, and look forward to finding out what's occurring in the land of Cheery Daff!
Can I just ask though about your mum's signing choir? How does that work? I am sure I am probably being a bit daft, but is it the signing in time that makes the difference? Anyways well done to your mum and her choir for winning!
Also, well done to you on the new regime for your PHD work.

Hi Lelly!
Wouldn't be too excited about what's happening in Daffyland right now - I'm upstairs in the attic in a temper, and Mr Daffs is in the kitchen, probably also in a temperHopefully he's at least doing the washing up at the same time though.
Anyway, sorry, hello!
The choir... they play recorded music through the speakers, and then they all sign (British Sign Language) in time to the music. Seems they did it the most in time with each other, and also added in a couple of costumes and fancy dancing, which impressed the judges
Online banking made me annoyed tooI'm utterly fed up today of feeling like I'm scrimping and saving all the time, pah! I've had a bit of an 'extravagant' month - out of budget I've spent in that I've spent £12 on three christmas presents (in total!) and £8 on a trip to Leeds yesterday (that should have been £5.80), and all of a sudden things have gotten stupidly tight again! Pah!
Not a real crisis - I've got £28 a week left for the next 3 weeks (and I get paid on 26th anyway, and although I don't want to start using it then, as I work on a weekly budget, it'll mean I won't go overdrawn or anything). Since Mr Daffs believes we're only spending £15 each a week on food, I might give him £15 and get him to do all the food shopping.
Still haven't quite worked out where the Christmas presents fund is coming fromHoliday is sorted (just about), think I'm going to have to raid the van maintenance fund for presents!
None of this is a long term crisis, as I'll be on full time wages from the end of January which will double my income :T And I usually manage fine, just sometimes when you're busy things start slipping through your fingers a little...
Pah, ignore me, just in a silly old temporary grumpity grump!0 -
If its any help(?)I was just about clear on my OD but its way up again
I just cannot get to grips with it at allGaaah.

Well, I've made half a tea cosy and listened to women's hour and done online banking etc, and now guests are due in 4 minutes, and no sign of me being fetched from the attic, so I guess I'd best put a smile on my face and head downstairs... <yawn>0

Oh poor you, after the day starting so well! I hope everything thaws out this evening.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

It'll be fine, already is fine really! I'm just hormonal, he's spent 2 weeks being poorly in one way or another, you know how things are!
Anyway, tidying's pretty much done (and I didn't have to do any of it), he's having a quick nap, and I'm on the right side of a couple of pancakes and a cuppa, so everything's alright really
Not sure what tonight will be - was intended to be a bit musical, but only a couple of people coming now (one of whom is the bloke who moved out a few weeks ago). Not going to be a late one for me at least!
Will perk up tomorrow, honest0 -
