Oh hooray KC, another camper! :) Although I think if you were living in it you'd want something bigger than a berlingo! We've had an LDV pilot for the last 5 years, and it's been brilliant - although we never fitted it out properly cos it leaked and the side doors didn't open... Just flung a futon in the back and a picnic basket :)

Cheery berlingos are so cheery! Our budget is more like, er, £1500 at an absolute push, so we might be looking for a suitable one for a while ;)

Now then... Our van's on ebay - all a bit sad but I'm getting used to the idea. I think I described it in a suitably cheery fashion so someoe like me would buy it :rotfl: (or rather there'll be a flurry of burly builders laughing at the girl describing her van as 'she' and 'very cheery' :rotfl:)

Still no new one - getting to the point where I couldn't care less! :p

Found £1 in the street today (which I've done alarmingly often recently), and also found £2.40 in a pair of jeans :j so will add that to my £5 a day total (looking very poor, but have 2nd job income coming in a few weeks - and a tax refund from last month!)

New budget is feeling nicely roomy, even though I've actually only got an extra £5 a week (plus the £5 I'm now not spending on Slimming World - which I'm making myself spend on either nice fruit, or something healthy - next week it'll be a jive class :rotfl:)

And at work today, my new boss asked what my long term plans were (plans?? I'm supposed to make plans?? :rotfl:) and asked if I'd be interested in working on other projects if anything came up :j So that's potentially another couple of days a week after the PhD's finished, which is what I wanted! Ideally it would have been closer to home... but I'm loving the new job, and the new department, and will quite happily take anything they can give me :T

(feels nice to be wanted after only working there a month too!) :D

Just need to finish that pesky PhD first... :p

Sounds great, Cheery - I suppose realistically you'd want ldv type size - then thats the same as a camper, really. I don't drive at the moment - and I've never driven regularly since I passed my test, gulp. Ah well. I hope your own van sells, tho I understand you're reluctant to let her go!

Cheery things indeed Fay! Ad thanks Lucille and beanielou - wasn't paying attention properly when i read and thought the same person had posted twice with 2 different signatures! :rotfl: Had to go back to try and figure it out :rotfl:

KC, we're after something smaller than the LDV this time... It's fab, but we really don't use it as a camper often enough to justify lugging it around as our 'daily car' as well :p It's brilliant when we do though!

Nobody's bid on ours yet :o but 7 people are watching, and still 3 days to go! :T

PhD-ing today, then bit of a strange meeting at 3. I MUST not allow myself to get sidetracked by vans, Mr Daffs asking if I want to walk to the shops with him, the garden, the washing, the housework, MSE, or anything else! :rotfl:

Sophiesmum use to do the same to me - when I was 'trying' to write up she'd spot my light on
