    I may give them the benefit of the doubt and wait and see..........

    I still doubt it will arrive within 22 business days... they continue to cleverly and conveniently neglect to mention the time between the item leaving the supplier and when it gets to customs in the UK.

    If I hadn't found an equivalent (and speedier) deal though, like you I would play the waiting game rather than opting for the refund. At these prices it is still a decent deal even though you have to wait.
  • Obviously this 'company' knows that people will cancel their order after waiting for so long and this 7.9% thing is how they make their money. Moneybookers also DO NOT get involved with disputes over unreceived goods so that's just another way that they insure a nice profit.

    I think if that's the case they're banking on the 20% post-shipping charge, as I bet Moneybookers get all of that 7.9% as a handling fee.

    I bought an ipad yesterday from Elite, and after reading these posts I have emailed them to cancel the order. It still says pending and the money hasnt left my account yet. I called my bank to try and cancel the transaction but it was too late. I emailed them last night but havent heard back from them.
    How long is it taking them to respond to you folks? My bank says, if I dont receive the money back I can contact the fraud team to try and reclaim. I paid on my debit card.

    I e-mailed them yesterday and asked them to tell me how long my order would take to arrive in the UK from their supplier i.e. time on the boat. I told them that if they could not give me a direct answer then I would cancel the order.

    Heard nothing so sent them one cancelling the order.

    Sent another again this morning from their website. Still nothing and my order status is still 'pending'.

    Looks like I'll be contacing my credit card company soon. :mad:

    Just read up on Section 75. Seems I may not be able to claim through my credit card company as the purchase was via a third party i.e. Moneybookers? Assume I would get nowhere with them?

    Also the refund fee has now gone up to 10%.

    It just gets better and better.
  • Has anyone received a refund? I am worried now. Do you think we should contact our banks or wait a few more days?
  • I requested my order cancelation yesterday, and have not had any reply yet. I will wait until COB tomorrow, and if not heard back from then by then, I will contact my credit card company.
  • Weird. I placed the order on Tuesday, but when I look at my online bank statements the money hasnt been taken.. When I called my bank they said they had authorised the payment but its pending at the other end. I did some digging and Moneybookers says that the person on the other end has to accept the payment, and if they do not do so within 14 days it comes back. I also contacted Moneybookers with my transaction details and complained that the transaction I made to this Elite Saving person is a scammer and could they please investigate and put the account on hold.
    I am hoping that perhaps the account has been put on hold due to complaints about this person, meaning we all should get our money back!
    FYI I have emailed Elite Saving 3 times now, and havent heard anything back..
