Update
I reported this to Consumer Direct, who gave me the following advice:
If you can allow me to address your e-mail, in failing to provide you with the goods ordered, the trader may be in breach of contract. This would depend if there was a specified timescale for delivery of the goods in the terms and conditions of the contract. If the trader has not delivered within this timescale, it could be argued that they have breached an express term of the contract. As a result, you would be entitled to a refund of monies paid for the item, including postal charges.
Furthermore, when goods are ordered online or over the telephone, the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 will also apply. This law states that when goods are not delivered after 30 days, the contract can be treated as automatically cancelled and the trader must then provide a refund in the next 30 days.
At this stage, I would advise you to write a formal letter to the company, sending the letter by recorded delivery and keeping a copy of the letter that you write. You should state the legal argument made above and request that they provide the item, or a full refund of monies paid within a set period of time e.g. the next 7 working days.
I have reported this information to Trading Standards, where they will review your complaint and take action where criminal legislation is consistently breached, where relevant and appropriate.
So i suggest making a complaint with them so that the relevant authorities can see how big this issue is and send off your formal letters. A copy of which i will also be sending to the company via email.0 -

Is there anyone whose items are Custom Cleared???????0

Its a joke really that it is so difficult for crimes like this to be punished because this guy has more than likely claimed more money by deception than the average bank robber would by doing a 'job'. Yet unlike a bank robber he can do this crime without fear of being caught.
Out of curiosity has anyone tried reporting their experience to the police? As t is a crime obtaining money by deception.
If you type police fraud into google the first site that comes up lets you report fraudulent crimes.
Unfortunately this stupid forum won't let me post a link to it.0 -
Right i sent the email about an hour ago (cheers adam) and got this a few moments ago:

If the refund does not appear on my credit card statement within the next few days what is the next step i should take?0 -
More fuel to add to the "suspected scam" fire.
I checked the logistics website tracking this morning and found that it still showed that it was waiting clearance. So fired a brief e-mail off to Elite and they answered back quite quickly and simply that it was now out for delivery. Jumped back on the logistics site and magically it was stating that it's now out for delivery! Pretty convenient, eh? Although missing the tracking number mentioned in one of their info pages.0 -
