Well I'm sorry to say that everyone is correct about this site being a scam. I've waitied patiently for my Desire to arrive and I along with all of you here that have ordered at the end of June and July and are waiting for cutoms clearance which is clearly a lie. Elite wrote to me last week stating that they will reimburse me if the phone doesn't arrive in 7 days. I wrote to them this afternoon saying that they have until tomorrow 24th August to either have my purchase in my hand or that they will need to refund me. Somehow that has translated to them cancelling my order as per my request which i didn't make and me losing out over £50 from fees. This is absolutely unacceptable as I've waitied for their delivery and it's not my fault that it's caught up in customs. American Express is going to sort it out but this is what you get for being polite and patient. Obviously this is a scam website and I should have investigated before pressing buy, there never was any products, I think the IT guy a few posts back hit the nail on the head and said you can buy a website for $50. Get out while you can because you are all waiting for nothing.

Just wanted to say thanks to this forum I have avoided buying a HTC Desire from elitesavings.co.uk (which appears to be run by scam artists) and have instead purchased it directly from O2 retentions for £285. I will be using it with my current O2 tariff which has 600 minutes, free texts and free internet for £25 per month, so I am dead chuffed. When the phone arrives I can trade in my old Sony Ericsson W995 for £65 meaning the cost for the phone was only £220, sweet.

Thanks again to all the people on here who helped me make my decision.


Incidentally I was told by O2 retentions (as they couldn't initially get my order to go through) it is possible to purchase the HTC Desire from an O2 shop for £319.



Also I noticed at the beginning of this thread there was some dispute as to whether Finchley is in Barnet. Well I live in Barnet and I do not consider Finchley to be part of it. Finchley might be within the Borough of Barnet but most people who live there wouldn't say its in Barnet. Also Barnet is within the county of Hertfordshire. People who live in London do not normally reference the London Borough their town is within.


As to whether Elitesavings address actually exists I might pop by one day just to have a look.

I've just googled 2 Woodberry Grove where elite savings office is located and it came up saying it was a one bedroom flat.

From typing 2 Woodberry Grove into google I also found out all these companies are registered there:

TBH this reaks of con artists, setting up Ltd liability companies fleecing people and then going bust before anyone can do any thing about it.

Well, this is unfortunately not a big surprise...

They are not answering the phone as well. Anybody has an idea whre to announce this obvious scam and how to proceed to stop their website and punish them also?

Yep I have cancelled my order and hopefully getting a full refund, the guy said he keeps 20% then gives it back once my item gets back to there depot I highly doubt I will get my other 20% and I still have not received my other 80%. Hopefully I will get my full money back.

It's so funny that this guy is still referring to the 'item' as it would have ever existed... There is no item at all, he just prepares a tracking number on his computer and keep us 'updating' every once in a while...

I just don't know how to stop him doing this with others!
