Unfortunately you won't get your money back by Friday but keep emailing them until they send you a refund form, don't back down! Make sure you send the refund form registered post and then keep bombarding them with emails so they confirm that they have received the form.

you will find out everything you need to know about this company on the net..a phone number that gives you veritable finance ltd. 0870 7542310.they will fob you off with an 0345 number . its just a machine, dont bother ringing it. the loan-centre say they dont have an outbound or inbound phone line..and to e mail them. most of these e mails are answered with stock eletronic replies.altho some have had a little luck with them i believe. contact the police. the fsa. and the consumer protection agency. tell your bank you have contacted them and not to service any money to them or their counter parts..write a letter to them saying you didnt join up and want a total refund. THE CONSUMER PROTECTION AGENCY CAN ADVISE YOU BETTER THAN ME..I have started legal proceedings against them..and if that dosnt work then mr praagh and mr williams will be meeting me in person.they have almost £70 of my wife's money and if they want to keep it, believe me they will be made to earn every penny of it.LEGALLY OF COURSE..LOL..BY THE END OF IT ,IT WILL BE THE HARDEST MONEY THEY HAVE EVER COME INTO.I WILL PUT MY LIFE ON IT.

An up date for all those who fell victim to the Loan Centre. I got my refund today. After many emails, I sent the cancellation form back by recorded delivery 18 days ago. When I had not heard after 14 days I emailed them again yesterday and told them I would be sending off letters of complaint to the OFT and FSA if I did not receive my refund (i asked for cheque as had closed down my account to stop them debiting any further monies) by 1pm today. I received an immediate reply stating that refunds were dealt with within 30 days and not 14. He suggested the 14 days I had seen referred to the "cooling off" period. I replied and told him to refer to their own cancellation form which clearly states that refunds will be processed within 14 days. I also stated that if I received the cheque after my deadline, I would still continue with my complaints to the OFT and FSA as it wasnt really about getting my money back, it was about bringing them to the attention of those that could do something about them. I received no reply. Low and behold my cheque arrived today. For all those still battling, dont give up, that's what they are hoping people will do ! If they say they will process refunds in 14 days, make sure they do !! I will never again give my details to anyone without checking them out first. Love this site. So very informative ! For the Morons who work for the Loan Centre or any of its associates...GET A LIFE and GET A PROPER JOB. We are so much smarter than any of you could ever hope to be ; )

the telephone number for this company (cornwall colection) is 0844 5766851 which is part of leading stream.if number goes dead after a while then just contact leading stream number for this is 0844 2510531 best to press op 2 as line is busy.:mad:

I have just been scammed by these crooks, I was looking for a small payday loan last monday until the end of the month as I didnt have no money in my account, I do however get paid a small amount from a part time job every friday.

When I logged onto my banks website to see how much I was paid I see the money go in from the job then I see that my available balance was £67.50 down

I soon found out who it was as I found this site and others online and remembered visiting the site

I have found out some information, I have done a search online of these crooks, Cornwall Collections have and are trading under several names, and have links to two adresses in Essex one in Southend 46 Alexandra Street the other in Rayleigh at Vantage House, please note that these premises are closed, there isnt anyone there, they both have to let signs above the door, all phone numbers have been cut off to these premises

I did phone another company that is in Vantage House in Rayleigh and the guy told me that the company I was looking for went into liquidation in April 2010 and are not there, he did say that there is alot of mail still being delivered to the premises

So far I have had a little more luck that others in terms of them replying to emails, I initially sent an email to them through the website, within 5 minutes I got a standard reply, I then replied to it and got another standard email

Basically when you go to the website on the second screen it says in the orange box about a member fee, which Nicola pointed out in the email this fee depends on how much you are looking for, there is also a mention in the terms and conditions which everyone including myself didnt read

They have emailed me a form that I need to send to the Southend address to get my money back and to cancel this membership, we will wait and see what happens now, they said it will take 30 days and they have a redirection, they cant email the signed form like I asked them to after scanning the form and emailing Nicola back

At the moment they can be reached on 0844 567 9500, but in a few months time it will more than likely be the same as their other numbers cut off

Just one other note, I did ask them whether they will taking anymore money and they said no, I did mention about what I see online with repeated amounts going out of the account and they saud that these idividuals must have went on one of their other sites at the same time or gone back on the original site and filled out the form again to become a member

Best way if you want money is to go to the Money Shop in your local town, all these sites online are sharks that get you nowehere, as per the Loan Cante, all I get now is text mesaages saying finance has been agreed from various outfits like Hot Dog Loans etc

I've had the same problem. I have red their Terms and condition and here's what it says about cancellation:

Cancellation
A one off joining fee of no more than £74.95 is payable in most cases after you have had an average of 14 days membership and access to the site. If you have not cancelled/terminated your membership with us, you will be automatically charged by a direct charge to the debit/credit card authorised by the member with an ongoing membership fee of £8.99 which is payable monthly until such time as you decide to cancel your membership.

Under the Financial Services (Distance Marketing) Regulations 2004 you have a right to cancel your application within 14 days of receiving these terms and conditions and receive a refund. If You wish to cancel your application, You must write to us confirming your request to cancel your application, either in writing to: Customer Services, The Loan Centre, 46 Alexandra Street, Southend, Essex, SS1 1BJ or by email to help@loan-centre.net. With regard to payments set up by Credit or Debit Card, if Your payment declines we will attempt to take the payment from the card until we are notified that You wish us to cancel such attempts. Written confirmation may be required.

I have sent them an email today and I am awaiting reply.

I've been scammed by this load of muppets, really don't know what to do. Bank are faffing about and they are being totally useless. I won't give up, I'm getting my money back if they like it or not.

Whats annoyed me is that I gave them my acct details for the credit check, saw that they wanted to take money from me for it and DID NOT give them any card details at all, I exited the page and didn't think anything else of it. Grr.
