I'd save the 30p you spend on the phone call if I were you. They won't give a damn and will tell you it is a private matter between you and the company.
The last time I got scammed it was for £600 via the method of 'cloning' my card. The Police got involved and the bank (HSBC) gave me the money back and waived the unauthorised overdraft fees within a week.
Unfortunately, the same bank doesn't seem to want to be so helpful with sorting out my daughters problem with 'Cornwall Collections'. She has no idea how they got her details unless it was through her application for a credit card with 'CapitalOne'. Who the hell are these people and how do they get away with scams like this? :mad:0 -

They confirmed cancellation and have now taken £69.50.
I emailed them for a refund to which they refused but as soon as I mentioned the financial services distance marketing 2004 regulation they changed their tune and asked me to send a cancellation form and they would refund within 30 days.
However when Ive looked into this regulation any consumer legally has the right to cancel any contract within 14 days by email .
Ive told them they are in breach of this and asked for their complaint procedure which they keep skirting around.
It was the last money I had in my account for shoes for my son .I am tamping its not even about the money now they should be names and shamed for the sharkes they are.:mad:
What was it you subscribed to?! My daughter has never heard of the group and has no idea how they got her details.0 -

Hi does anyone know if these are related to loan-centre.ngb ? A friend at work has just had her account debited by these, she told me she was looking for a loan but did not take it out with loan-centre, dont know many details yet but it seems suspiciousWater is a basic necessity - not for profit0

Dear all,
My name is Richard Carter and I am the Chief Executive of The Nostrum Group.
I have read through the comments on this site and wish to clarify some of the posts that are being made.
Firstly, Nostrum is a payment processor and Cornwall Collections is one of our trading styles for collecting payments. Neither Nostrum nor Cornwall own or control The Loan Centre – it is one of many customers of ours and there is no relationship other than supplier/customer. As a result, we don’t have the authority to provide refunds or provide any updates/comments on the service that Loan Centre customers have signed up for.
If you wish to get in touch with The Loan Centre, then you should either use the “Contact us” button on their website, email them at help@loan-centre.net or call them on 0345 257 9899
From the posts on this site, a number of people are contacting me directly and also calling 0870 754 2310 which is our main switchboard line only to be provided the same message from our staff. I appreciate that this is very frustrating for callers, though is no reason for some of the bad language that is directed to our staff. Please email help@loan-centre.net or call 0345 257 9899 and you will get a quicker reply.
Finally, there are some posts that seem to suggest that Loanfinder, Loan Centre and Nostrum are all linked. Certainly Nostrum has no links with Loanfinder and, so far as I am aware, neither does Loan Centre.
I hope that this clears up any confusion and helps you get the right people who can help you straight away.0 -

E-mail loanfinder UK. They are all the same company. Don't bother phoning just keep emailing every day. They have refunded some of my money but still owe me some.
I have just had a look at them on the OFT site they are not part of loanfinder but looks like the both do the same thing0 -
